Robot was programmed that way.
Dr. Smith made sure of it.

I never could see that movie being remade the first time. It’s just not that great.
A Star is Bored. That movie sucked and was easily an hour longer than it should have been.
Im still amazed that a spoiler alert is needed for a movie the story of which has been made and remade FOUR TIMES.
The original movie in 1937 was meh.
The remake in 76 was vastly overrated.
I think there was a 50s version that I have never seen.
I don’t think making this plotline over and over will ever produce a gem.
Subtleties are often spoilers. Ive never seen any version before but did like the 1976 sound track. The ending is inevitable and obvious from start. The movie (this version) is about anguish.
Omg the 50s version was with judy garland!
Spent your money on Hollywood, and they did it to you. Just what you deserve.
TMC showed both the 1937 version (with Janet Gaynor) and the 1954 version (with Judy Garland) last weekend. I haven’t seen the two newer versions, but if you have the time, the Judy Garland version is very worthwhile. It really shows her excellent singing and dancing talents throughout.
Most movies are remakes in a way...same story lines...different actors....different social milieu setting...different times...examples...yojimbo and fistful of dollars...7 samaurai and magnificent 7...romeo and juliet and west side story...similar themes depending on target audiences....all in all generally not too original...most are just churned out pap or crap..every now and then a good one shows up..even if a redo...
How many times will they remake this horrible film ?
Until it doesn’t make $$$ anymore. The next one will be LBGTYIOPSE “friendly”.
The only original/remake that I have seen that was good was “Sabrina”.
I’ve seen both and they were equally good.
