In all honesty, I was a Cruz guy until Trump. After that, Cruz started showing his true colors, his Canadian birth, etc. After Cruz’s “Vote your conscience” statement, I was totally done with him.
Yaelle pretty cringy.
“Back in 2011, there was talk of a Trump run. I opposed it real bad and boy was I wrong.”
I didn’t oppose him initially, but I did think he’d do another quick appearance and drop out.
Maybe I am. Im just being honest. I have gone from ardent supporter to quieter supporter; sometimes I do feel he isnt making a good case for another 4 years. But better than most alternatives. Perfect doesnt exist.
Some of it is the system. The way the parties fight, the way neither stands for what they purport to, the way big powers control them that shouldnt.
Id like to see a younger, humbler guy who has the b@lls of a Trump but less ego-sensitivity.
We got what we got and in the last 50 years Trump is a welcome breath of fresh air.
Yes, Levin hasn’t changed. He revealed his true colors in 2016. He’s still the same self serving opportunist he’s always been.
“Where Were You, Four Years Ago? Like Me, Probably Discounting Trump”
not me. the instant i first heard him, i instinctively knew that he was the real deal: a disrupter of the first order who reveled in rubbing the bald-faced naked truth spoken in plain everyday kitchen-table vernacular into the faces of all of the PC hypocrites, GOP elites, uniparty assholes, leftist Dem liars, and all the rest ...
I instinctively knew this man was not pandering and that he meant every promise and would do his damnedest to carry them out to the best of his ability ...
I knew he was fearless, and not only wasn’t frightened to death of the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia, but would take them on and eventually destroy them by driving them to such extremes of hatred that almost any thinking person could see what liars they were ...
that he was actually the REAL conservative that we’d all been praying for and was exposing all of the fakes that had been telling us we had to vote for them, the lesser of two evils, when in fact they weren’t that much (if any) lesser ...
“I was arguing with Freepers that Trump doesnt shoot from the hip. Everything he says has a purpose.”
yeah, i figured that out too, with the implication that Trump is basically a genius ... the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia and their Democrat minions have yet to understand any of that, which is why Trump continues to run rings around all of them ...
“Id like to see a younger, humbler guy who has the b@lls of a Trump but less ego-sensitivity.”
I’d like to be a billionaire ...
Same here -went with what we had determined as the most hard-core conservative until it became obvious that Trump was the one to back - then tried to make up for it with extra donations to Trump...
I was working the polls as a moderator (Republican) - by the time we closed down the polling place and secured and signed off all of the ballots it was close to 11:00 and I went home and right to bed.
I had NO IDEA what had happened until I was on my way to work the next morning. Listening to the news on the radio and took me a few minutes to figure out that Trump had won. Trump won. TRUMP WON!! Damn, that was great.
Want some cheese with that whine?
I became a solid Donald Trump supporter within the very first week following his announcement.
He showed he was a very different sort of candidate from the get go.
I forget all the details - but it had to do with his willingness to confront the press and to confront the other candidates. The press would ask him if he regretted saying something - he would say no, refuse to retract it, and even double down.
This same phenomenon repeated itself nightly, as pundits agreed that his candidacy was toast. I found myself cheering him on like a star athlete or rock star. He was my hero for fighting back against the disgusting a-holes of the press. It was then I realized there had to be a lot of others who felt the same way.
I knew immediately that he could beat the Democrat and that was all I cared about.
What I failed to grasp for nearly a year after that was that he was going to be a truly great President - and his fight was not just vs the Leftist press, but also the DC swamp and globalist industrial lobbies.
He was targeting every stupid trade deal, every job killing regulation, every corrupt government scheme - for extinction. He was sincere in his vow to put America first.
I knew right away he was a winner, but I admit it took awhile for it to sink in that he was much more than that.
I was ordering my “TRUMP 45” Vanity License Plates on the CA DMV Website.
“TRUMP” and “TRUMP 16” were already taken by the time I logged on.
“He is a Hillary plant!”
That was my favorite.
I’am sure hillary would have kept your bloom blooming....
He was, in his own words, "Wrong, wrong, wrong." Yet, he's still talking. Some people are just slow learners.
PDJT did not create this movement, he recognized it.
I figured Cruz wasn't afraid to say what he thought and could sell it. He was a disappointment. Too much weasel in him. Not presidential.
Trump? I remember thinking, "This could work!" Trump was Christmas every day. At some point I became a 'gotsta' supporter. The way he tied the left (and others I despise) into knots, I decided, "I gots ta support him!"
He earned it, and has earned it every day since.
Agree. We needed Trump and we got him. Im grateful.
