Within hours of suffering chest pains Tuesday night, Bernie Sanders had stents inserted to relieve the blockage in an artery. He’s lucky. Because if Sanders lived under “Medicare for All,” things likely would not have gone as well.
Sanders, along with every other Democrat pushing “Medicare for All” and its variants, constantly bleat about how the U.S. spends far more on health care but gets worse results than countries such as Canada or the U.K. But the quality measures – infant mortality and longevity – are notoriously unreliable for international comparisons.
Infant mortality rates depend on how countries measure them, and longevity has more to do with things like obesity, crime, and drug abuse than health care.
What Sanders and company never do is look at how countries handle actual health care delivery. That’s because when you do that, socialized medicine starts to look more like Hell than Nirvana.

Article makes some good points, but the reality is that the ruling class wouldn’t be affected by socialized medicine. Just we peons.

You’re wrong, because as a ruling member of the ruling commie-bstrd, elite class, he would have had 500 people around him at all times, SUVs, helicopters, and submarines, and gotten the fastest best medical care on Earth, while others died in the streets of paper cuts and razor bumps.

BTW - When prominent Canadian politicians have cardiac problems... They go to the United States for treatment.

It’d be funny as Hell if because of those stents, and the resultant delivery of more oxygen to his brain, Sanders came out as a conservative, withdrew from the Dem primaries and declared that he was running against Trump because “Trump isn’t a real conservative.” Oh, how the snowflakes would melt. :>)

When I had a heart attack and cardiac arrest last year here’s what happened:
An ambulance picked me up within 10 minutes
They needed help so they met another ambulance and picked up another medic. They did CPR on me for 6 minutes and shocked me twice
When I got to the hospital a team was standing by to put me on life support
Another team was standing by to perform a heart cath and insert a stent
I was out of ICU in two and half days, out of the hospital in a week and a half, and back at work a week after release from the hospital
Our system, at least for me, was outstanding. The whole ordeal cost me about $3,000.00 out of pocket. I’m of the opinion that we don’t need to make major changes to our health system.
Universal health care would’ve given Bernie an appointment to see a doctor...in about a year.
Really Bernie and the other congress and senate critters don’t worry about medicare, that’s for the little insignificant drones, they have cadillac care.

Journalists are so ignorant. Congress doesn’t have Obamacare. Never did. Never intended to. That’s for the masses.
Per Ezekiel Emmanuel, Rahm’s brother and 0bama’s med advisor, Bernie would not have qualified for the heart surgery he had under Ezekiel’s 0bamacare.
Similar story: When I dropped dead on the basketball court (A fib or V fib, I forget which) last November first aid was there in four or five minutes, got me restarted and to the hospital in (probably) less than ten minutes more. I woke up from the induced coma several days later.
Total out-of-pocket cost, after a pacemaker/defib implant and nine days hospitalization around five grand. Plus a voluntary contribution to the First Aid Squad. And thanks to my b'ball buddies for the first few minutes of CPR.
Professional politicians are psychopaths, they have no self-awareness whatsoever.
And besides that they just run to rake in the money from idiots anyway. Beach House Bernie just wants to maintain his lifestyle by fleecing morons.
