Elizabeth Warren’s “Free” Internet Pitch Is Just Another Censorship and Spy Machine.
The Houston Courant ^ | August 15th, 2019 | K. Smith

In early August, Elizabeth Warren released a plan that promises free internet access to every household in America. As with most Democratic proposals, the intentions are loudly touted, but the costs and dangers are hidden.

Warren's ‘free’ internet comes with a hefty taxpayer bill of $85 billion to fund public and non-profit firms across the country. If the proposal were to pass, construction cost overages should be expected. Once established, the federal apparatus will always demand more cash for their budgets. Lest we forget, in the mind of a Democrat, the Government is always understaffed and the need for new personnel snowballs. $85 billion is just the beginning.

Nationalization demands regulation and oversight.

Control of information is likely to follow once the cables are laid. The framework is already in place through the Children’s Internet Protection Act where content is censored by internet providers in public schools. The same principles that apply to children can easily be shifted to the public unknowingly. The dangers to democracy are real in Warren's proposal. What if party activists become the censors during an election? We've seen how tech firms use their influence to swing districts from one candidate to another. Further, conservatives, libertarians, and anti-war activists are already experiencing social media and search engine censorship. Compounding big government with big-tech is a recipe for disaster. Who knows the extent of what could happen once the controls are in place?

It would be free internet for thee but not for me. Like my Medicare.

(Not that I object to paying the income boosted rate—it makes it actually a fair price for the insurance, IMHO).

How long until they block those right wing extremist hate websites like Free Republic.com.

Elizabeth Warren is a saleswoman for Lucifer.

Don’t buy anything she’s selling. You’ll regret it.

Leftists hate anything they can’t control. They want total control of the internet. Leftist internet giants already have complete control over content: google, facebook and twitter already control and censor expressions of ideas they don’t like. They are able to exercise complete control, as they already do in north korea and china. All they have to do is change a few lines of code and that complete control will be in effect in the USA.

More free stuff!!!!!!!

Can we just cut to the chase and promise every American citizen one million dollars a month? Who cares how we will do it, or if it is even possible, the masses are too stupid to even want to try to figure that out.

And throw in a 100 foot yacht. And maybe a Lear Jet as well!

If you like your internet provider you can keep your internet provider.

That’s the built-in lie of her proposal

The last thing we would want would be Democrats in charge of the Internet. That would be the death of it for most people.

Some politician eventually is going to be the one who officially bankrupts America.

I wonder if it will be her?
