You’re forgetting Beshear is a democrat lawyer like Obama and the rest of them. All he has to do is appoint the right judges, judge shop, and make executive order. A dimocrat doesn’t have to deal with representatives elected by the People.

I’m not sure but seems Kentucky state judges are elected. Nothing is going to transition fast and we want SCOTUS to see a boat load of cases over the next 5 years. A Kentucky democrat typically would shy away from socialist leanings at least in public.

State houses can almost always stop the alternate party GOV cold and budgets tend to grow only modestly.

State Senates must approve judicial appointments, usually a formality. I hope the Kentucky Senate will take a very close look and reject many.
