TRANSLATED FROM UKRAINIAN ON INSTAGRAM: Miss Ukraine Universe Anastasia Subbota is not allowed in the US to the finals of the competition [Miss Universe 2019]. The girl was denied an American visa. Director of the competition Anna Filimonova is trying to solve the problem with the documents. But there is very little time - the finale will take place in Atlanta on December 8.
For the 14 years of the Miss Ukraine Universe contest, this is the first time the Consulate has not given the winner the entry permit to America. “There are 12 days left before Anastasia leaves for Atlanta, Georgia, and we are fully prepared to participate in the most prestigious Miss Universe World Contest - dresses, videos, national souvenirs, and costumes,” Filimonova said.
The director of the competition appealed to the US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor for help.
. Curiously, during an interview at the embassy Saturday, she said she was going to the Miss Universe contest and presented official papers. The employee looked at the documents and replied that he had not been given such papers for the first time. Anastasia asked him to view the information on the internet and on the official sites of the competition, but was refused a visa.
