You are not alone in that.
Fifteen years ago Billings didn't have bums in business fronts, on every street corner, dying in the cold.
Big gubment. Lies. Endless wars. Failure of Leftism.
When there's more "social services" consumers than taxpayers, then property taxes are guaranteed to be high. The solution would be to cut welfare enough that the welfare class stops breeding, but forget about that in a Democrat town.
OK,fair enough..it sounds like you and I are on roughly equal ground in terms of living space. My $300 a month is for a 1 BR,1 BA condo...800 sq feet...with 0.0 acres.We both live in high tax states,which,of course,is the basic theme of this thread.
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside
So in other words you don’t miss NJ Transit...or the Lincoln Tunnel? And you’re correct about Southerners being more friendly than folks in the I-95 Corridor.
Life, liberty & property;
was modified to Pursuit of Happiness;
by the Establishment dirtbag founding father.
Awful, because happiness is redundant with liberty.
Pursuit of Happiness is one of the stupidest lines in the Constitition. Goes to show that traitors exist in all times.
However, $300 property tax is legitimate to create a sewer system. But 5 times that tax is added for unrelated Public Schools which has zero relation to property.
And ignorant liberals always check yes to school bond taxes because it is for the children. But State education is the worse thing for children.
Needed are nullifying juries, or courageous older Judges to strike down property tax for schools.
If not, become a teacher and rip off the stupid voters.
It can’t be much fun being a homeless schizophrenic in Montana.
East Germany promised property..but never intended to deliver on that promise.
NJ Transit! What a mess. As a kid, I commuted into the city by train from my parents’ house. It has always been a nightmare. Of course, Alabamians are craaaaaazy drivers and do not follow the rules of the road.
They voted for Clinton, Gore, Obama (once in 2012), and have a Dem congressman. They also tend to have a lot of government workers/public servants who love big government if it benefits them.
Nope, it ain’t all trout streams and ski lifts.
We all do what we can do.
