"“Why is There Air?”"

Why is there anger?

There's anger to inflate progressives, without which, there is no substance.

Progressives are angry because they are frustrated and, although they’ll never admit it, insulted/hurt/embarrassed that we little people aren’t bowing to their obviously sage wisdom. Why, to hear them tell it, they’re the smartest people in the room, they know what’s best for us, and we’re fools, criminals or worse for not ceding control of our lives and resources to them.

I kinda feel that it started about 155 years ago, at the end of the Civil War. Republicans freed their slaves and won the Civil War and they’ve been furious ever since then.

Because Obama lied to them and used them and they have nothing for it. But he's filthy rich and they're not smart enough to understand this so they lash out at anything.

They are angry because the DemocRat party isn’t as far left as they want and they are even angrier that Trump is dismantling 70 years of progressive policies.

Deeply disturbed, empty unhappy people adopt hateful destructive ways of thinking. What’s not to understand?

I give up trying to post pictures on FR, I have followed the directions to the letter 1,000 times and it never, ever works.

The image has to be uploaded to a server first. I actually own a domain and upload my images to that before I link them with HTML. You can also find out where an image is on the web and grab it's URL. This is called hot-linking because you are using someone else's bandwidth. The Owners resent paying for such unauthorized usage and they have ways of preventing that.

Liberal morality is based on feelings and what you feel to be true.

This has several implications. One is that what feels good is good and what feels bad is bad. You don’t like it? It is wrong. You like it, feels good? It is good. You have good intentions? The bad consequences are irrelevant, and those who told you that it would fail/cause harm are bad - the reason it failed.

What you feel to be true is to be treated as sacred truth and trumps reality. Thus the liberal endorsement of transgenderism. You really feel like a woman, you are one, and anyone who doesn’t agree is an evil oppressor.

This ties in to liberals’ belief in a progressive utopia. They really, really believe in it, and they expect to see it on Earth. All they have to do is dream it, believe it, “love” and we’ll all magically have paradise.

Different problem is the liberal belief that people are inherently good, so anyone who goes wrong/becomes a criminal is somehow harmed by society and thus really the victim. They imagine that if we just banned the bad words, outlawed the wrong ideas, and were drugged into bliss, we’d have perfection.

Liberal utopianism is a religious belief. They invest religious levels of devotion to their political ideology, and the solution is always more government, more liberal power, more liberal ideology. If anything goes wrong, the good intentions mean the bad outcomes don’t matter, or else it is the fault of those evil haters who want to create hell on Earth. After all, it can’t be your fault, you mean well and want to create heaven on Earth.

Let’s hope all that anger leads to increased stress and earlier death.

Because they know they’re wrong but never thought they’d be caught at it.

Those of us old enough to remember LBJ and the Great Society can remember an era in which liberals were optimistic, confident in their ability to socially engineer a better world, certain that most problems could be smothered beneath mountains of dollars piled with technocratic expertise, and burning with the faith that all people were basically the same, essentially good, and essentially equal, and that all that was needed was a sweeping away of the regrettable confusions and legacies of the past. And liberals were happy warriors, secure in their invincible faith.

But the liberal vision was wrong. Again and again and again and again. For every marginal success there were a dozen failures. Their "solutions," by and large, did far more harm than good. They gutted the black family, wrecked American public education, poisoned relations between the sexes, allied themselves with the most vicious regimes on earth, and committed themselves to the destruction of Western civilization. The Voting Rights Act and ending Jim Crow segregation, which overturned a century of Democrat oppression in the South, were important. But what else did they achieve, measured against the devastation?

Of course they are bitter, angry and unhappy. Their god has failed, and they are in rebellion against truth, human nature and history.

There is a way out, and it begins with the simple acknowledgment that "We were wrong."

The obstacle to saying those three words is pride. It is a spiritual problem. Will liberals recover? As of now … well, "better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven" about sums it up. The modern left is bent on creating a Hell, because they think that is where they are fitted to rule.

Short answer: we believe in our socialist utopia on Earth, because we think it is wonderful and good intentions make horrible consequences irrelevant. Just give us total power to remake society and the world ...

Most of the jews, atheists, muslims, homosexuals, feminists, and other mean-spirited losers who manifest the far left all have one thing in common. They have nothing but contempt for Jesus Christ and those who follow Him. Therefore, they will never know grace and truth, and instead have nothing but hatred and venom in their hearts.

You are correct. It started in the mid/late-60s, as the 50s commies/fascists re-surfaced and took over academia, and it got worse as the years and generations went by. I was out of college by 1971, and just missed it all.
