This pandemic will be over in a few months but the virus of nationalization is forever.
Thankfully, they have allowed a certain level of free-market DMV functionality here. Many DMV functions can be done online and many others can be done in the local office of my insurance company. I stopped in (without an appointment) at my AAA office and the friendly people there cheerfully registered my recently purchased (from a private seller) used vehicle and collected the license fee and taxes due. Very friendly and efficient service because they appreciate my business as a long-time customer.

I’m surprised BIG GOV hasn’t opened the DEV...Department of Electic Vehicles and made all the golfers have testing to get a driver’s license. Some of the duffers are blind or dangerous.
