The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, #EnemyOfThePeople. – Hat tip to the guys at the Conservative Treehouse for calling this one out. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is now heavily lobbying the Trump Administration to not move ahead with an executive order beefing up mandates on Big Pharma and other medical supply multi-national companies to bring their damn supply chains out of China and back to America.
Because of course this is what the CofC is doing. The CofC is one of the most anti-Trump – and in this case, anti-America – institutions in the nation’s capital. It has used its pernicious influence to undermine Trump’s policies on illegal immigration so that its huge corporate members can continue enjoying the fruits of cheap labor, and now it is using its pernicious influence to try to ensure that our country remains outrageously over-reliant on China for our medicines and healthcare supplies.
From a report by Reuters on the matter:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and dozens of other business and trade groups urged U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow and other top U.S. officials to drop plans for the order, arguing it would also damage U.S. trading relationship for years to come.
“Preventing federal agencies from sourcing medical equipment and pharmaceutical ingredients from abroad … would only exacerbate the supply shortages racking the United States,” said a letter from the groups, which was also addressed to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro, a long-time trade hawk who is crafting the order, told Fox News late on Wednesday evening that he expected movement on the issue shortly.
“The president’s gonna get that done soon,” Navarro told Fox News’ “Hannity” program, without giving an exact date.
The push has sparked concern in China and elsewhere, rekindling tensions with Beijing at a moment when global leaders are calling for a coordinated response to the outbreak.
Let’s review what is at stake here for Americans:
This virus originated in China in November;
The communist Chinese government lied to the global community for two solid months;
During those two months, an average 10,000 Chinese citizens came to America EVERY DAY, creating the epidemic we are now dealing with by shutting down 75% of our economy;
The very same dynamic took place in pretty much every country on earth;
Today, thanks to all the horrible trade deals that the CofC lobbied the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama Administrations to implement over the 28 years before Trump took office, our country is reliant on supply chains that at least in part move through China for over 90% of our pharmaceutical products and medical supplies;
And the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its giant multi-national corporate members want to keep it that way.
Bottom line, the CofC must be defeated. When you go to the polls this fall, vote for candidates who are NOT taking money from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, unless of course, those candidates are Democrats. We must end this group’s destructive power in the nation’s capital.
That is all.
And that would be the group that has Mittens as a spokesperson.
Never did understand why so many conservatives seemed to be in love with Big Business when large corporations are the biggest welfare queens out there.

The US military does not and how many divisions does the USCOC have? Not enough!!
And the same group that opposes the wall and immigration enforcement. All to make a buck.
When this is over the narrative will be the reason the coronavirus got out of control is because every country was acting independently and looking out for their own self-interests.
The solution will be "greater partnership" between nations. Maybe even an international government panel to keep an eye on things.
These skunks should move to China, and remain there until they “disappear”, and the government sends them to the crematorium.
China was already seeing the results of Trump standing up to their trade practices. Now they’ve really screwed the pooch. Much of what was previously manufactured in China will now be manufactured elsewhere. Raw materials purchased from China will be sourced elsewhere. Chine really ef’d up this time - unless the democrats/deep state get their way (they’re all bought and paid for by China). Trump 2020.
The US Chamber of Commerce wants very badly to be labeled a foreign lobbyist body.
Perhaps they should rename the organization the “International Chamber of Commerce” and drop all pretense they are pro-American.
You no play-a da game, you no make-a da rules.
It’s time to reward them for manufacturing in the USA and providing best price to the country by making the length of their patents start from the time of FDA approval. For those that don’t want to do produce domestically, then shorten their US patent and require that the FDA inspect their plants annually at the same level as they do domestic plants. Incentivize US production beyond just having the federal government by American.
Those require the Congress to pass laws. Trump is not a dictator, and we the people are not holding our Congresscritters to account nearly enough.
Remember that they have loyal employees in Graham, Rubio and a bunch of others.
I think a certain percentage of their production should be in the U.S. if they want Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. 50% or more.
They are all on the take from China. Including the Chamber of Amnesty. They are despicable.
The Chamber of Commerce is also for open borders, amnesty, H1B visas and cheap labor.
They have become an arm of the democrat party.
How did the C of C become such a corrosive force to this country? Another institution hijacked.
It’s getting close to time to start stripping these vermin of their citizenship and sending them to Qom.

Not globalism per se. More of a decoupling from China and sourcing from other countries.
China is basically a mafia regime and is now being shown as such.
It is a knee jerk reaction by conservatives thinking all corporations good, all government bad.
Keep in mind president Trump & VP Pence are head of government.
