Yes but I think many people who are drawn to the hard left are mentally messed up to begin with. A normal/rational functioning mind would not allow that.
Well if they continue to use the virus as an excuse the schools will be closed and no need.

As a retired school teacher I can attest that a school’s resource officer is an important part of the school’s community.
Next time there is a school shooting, call BLM. See how that goes for you.

In many states school systems are sovereign governmental entities. They have their own elected officials, independent taxation authority . . . and independent law enforcement authority.
Often they contract with a local municipal police department or county sheriff to provide policing. Also often, they set up their own school system police departments. My county and several others around here do that.
I expect the Minneapolis schools will ultimately contract with another agency or set up their own department (depending on if that is allowed in MN).
I’d go on strike, take sick leave and let the school board fend for
themselves.
