It’s pretty bad when the cancel culture cancels their own hearing. But that’s exactly what the Democrats did; first they demanded the Attorney General appear before Congress to testify…and then they attempted to cancel his testimony by “reclaiming their time.” One might think - if one were cynical - that the Dems created yesterday’s spectacle just to provide their news networks with another chance to air the Democrat narrative. Unfortunately for them the holes in that narrative are becoming glaringly obvious.

Mr. Barr was unflappable, but blunt. One highlight came when he was being questioned by Congressman Steve Chabot, a Republican of Ohio. “Federal courts are under attack,” Mr. Barr said, before exclaiming: “Since when is it okay to try and burn down a federal court?”

Or even trash it for that matter?

That a U.S. attorney general has to make that point to Congress is itself amazing, and Mr. Barr marked it well. “This is the first time in my memory,” he said at one point, “that the leaders of one of our great two political parties — the Democratic Party — are not coming out and condemning mob violence and the attack on federal courts. Why can’t we just say, you know, violence against federal courts has to stop?”

Allow me to answer Mr. Barr’s baseline question, “since when is it ok to try and burn down a federal court?”

Since the Democrats decided it was more important to get rid of President Trump because they simply don’t like him than to either uphold the Constitution or maintain the rule of law.  It’s really that simple, and it is simply unacceptable.

So here we are, still debating whether people throwing incendiary devices into a Federal structure are even criminals, let alone terrorists. Apparently that designation is reserved exclusively for ‘rightwing’ nut jobs like Timothy McVeigh.
