I wonder if Harris is the VP nominee because others turned down the job.
He committed a long time ago to choosing a woman, but, isn’t it quite possible that other women were offered the job but declined?
There seems to be a lack of enthusiasm on the Democrat side for Harris.
Somebody I know who is more liberal, was disappointed that Elizabeth Warren wasn’t chosen.

Her dad is “Jamaican” and likely has a mixed ethnic background.
Her mother is Indian from India. So Kamala is half Indian, with the other half perhaps split among a few other backgrounds.
Yet the minority part of her which is “Negro”, (are we allowed to use that word anymore) is the part of her background which everyone hones in on.
