Ronnie Spector was also on this tune--a great song, even though it didn't chart or make the "oldies" playlists.

You Had Time--The Heartbreakers (1963)

I saw Ronnie Spector perform at a concert at El Camino College in Hawthorne, Calif. in 1983. It was rumored that Phil Spector, her former husband, was in the audience. She did well, but it was Martha Reeves of Martha & the Vandellas who stole the show. She had about half the audience dancing in the aisles.

Nowhere To Run

I think Phil is in prison for murder, isn't he?

My best ever concert is still Led Zeppelin at the Fillmore West in SF in 1969.

That was great. Thanks for posting.

I have not heard of Kathy Trocolli before. Just read her Wiki profile — what an accomplished artist. Joining with The Beach Boys seems rather out of character for her, but she harmonized really well.

Yes, exactly right. Such a nice cleansing after that horrendous, vile skank.

Thanks for the Ronettes link. Great version 18 months before The Beach Boys struck gold with it.

Just look how classy the ladies were, so slender and pretty. Contrast that to the disgusting skank Cardi B today.

He will be eligible for parole in 2025.

Cardi B's big hit is called "WAP." Tucker Carlson said that he couldn't quote any of the lyrics because they are so obscene. Here is a tune that liberals will consider obscene--it's not "WAP" but "WPA."

WPA--Skeets Tolbert & His Orchestra (1940)

We're always happy here at FR. It's just that some of us are old and curmudgeonly and it's hard to tell. ;-)

Enjoyed that. By the way, am I the only one that glanced at the title and read it as “Kathy Broccoli and Beach Toys”?
