Follow the science! Pick whichever ‘science’ you like, but follow it!
Wearing a mask has never been about protection. Wearing a mask is about virtue signalling, ie, “I wear a mask because I care about you. If you don’t wear a mask then it says that you don’t care about me (or Grandma).”
Mask mandates also provide politicians a chance to say the same thing.
The biggest issue is people/politicians want to think they’re doing something even if they’re not. Mask provide a perfect and visible opportunity to feed this thought.

Healthy people should be free. At risk and sick should take precautions. That’s science.

Masks don’t protect you, the protect the others from being infected.
