In general, I will not go into any place that insists I wear a mask. While Walmart had signs up saying they were required, our Walmart doesn’t enforce that.

The employee sometimes says something about it, but I just say, no thanks, I prefer oxygen - CO2 makes me dizzy-and they say go right on in. I’m thinking about next time telling them, no thanks, I am not a bandit, nor the Lone Ranger or a slave-and hand them a picture of the slaves in masks.

If possible, I go to stores that do not require masks, and make sure to ask the cashier to tell their management that I appreciate it, and am shopping there instead of Walmart.

As far as I can see, the biggest benefit is that it helps the masked antifas and indicates submission to Government Overlords—not a help to me individually.

Beautifully put! We’re doing the same thing, only patronizing stores that don’t require masks. I noticed up here, more and more people are casting masks aside. Woot-woot! They can’t milk this thing for much longer, can they?

Thank you! It simmered for days until I finally wrote it but it refused to gel. Some articles are harder than others. :)

I sure hope not. It’s really bad some places. I’m thinking that on November 4 it may be over. Ha.

Thank you for the reply. I can only speculate on what a military force of another nation might try. But it appears likely, that they are closely watching patterns of transmission of the virus here. I say that a little more surely, because SARS-COV-2 is very contagious and genetically modifiable.

Contrary to what government offices and public media in nations lead us to believe when mentioning treaties or foreign imports, more than a few nations have been experimenting with bio-agents at least under ostensible intentions of defense and public health concerns.

The same is true of nuclear weapons. A nuclear exchange would be more survivable for most people than most people have been led to believe, so nuclear war is more of a possibility than most are led to believe. But a problem for a nation initiating a nuclear conflict would be that of quick recognition of hostile attack and quick retaliation.

Imagine, for example, a virus that could work like a much more transmissible Ebola. Then imagine a nation secretly developing both that and a vaccine for it with an eye towards taking more “living space” far away from of its current borders. If released in the target country, the disease might spread widely and disable the targeted nation before being realized as a hostile foreign action.

Now, imagine all Americans, Europeans and other nations participating in a learning and training exercise in advance for trying to survive such an epidemic: an exercise that came to us by surprise from the other side of the planet.

What kind of personality would be most likely to survive a far more deadly epidemic than the one around us?

Your hypotheticals are chilling. Whenever we talked about things like this, our Amish friend would say cheerfully, “They can only kill me once.” Small comfort in a scary world.

It isn’t the face diaper.

It’s the mandate.

Your words came back to me today when I was writing about Gen Z Snowflakes. I searched and searched and finally found your comment, which I shamelessly stole for the article. Hope you don’t mind.
