I would want to see someone with the right views who doesn’t really want to be POTUS be the nominee but runs because he or she feels that the nation really needs them. Like Trump in 2016 and maybe 2024.

Today, it looks to me as if a Pence/Haley ticket is on the inside track for the Groundless Old Party nomination in 2024. Pence made his bones, and Haley is in fashion. Whatever, no matter the nominees, the GOP is a goner from the POTUS winner column for the foreseeable future.
