That's a wise position. I've held that same position for decades. They all lie, the R's and D's alike. It's far more rare to find an honest politician than it is to find one's who's a crook or pervert. Crooks and perverts seem to be the norm anymore.

3.isolate the groups from other activists, eg by spreading rumors regarding unacceptable behavior and political views etc
So, his statements saying he’s being set up and blackmailed mean nothing to you. No benefit of the doubt with you. His dad being wired and his demand that the result of that wire be released publicly are also meaningless to you. The fact he’s a staunch supporter of President Trump who was a victim himself of numerous such tactics means nothing to you.
Gaetz is a fighter. As is Donald Trump. Is Donald Trump also “Toast”? No political future because of baseless smears and set-up attempts?
I recall another blackmail back in the day. Dennis Hastert. I never heard what happened to the man who received all that money from him, or if he reported such income from Hastert to the IRS. That stuff didn't come out.
