I can’t imagine anyone else even getting 20% in the primaries.

Too bad President Trump endorsed Rubio’s re-election for 2022. He voted to certify unlimited voter fraud on January 6th. I won’t be voting for anyone ever again. The GOP is dead to me.

As it turns out, just like the Pope doesn’t have to be a Cardinal or even a priest, the Speaker of the House - apparently - doesn’t have to be a member of Congress.

They could, in theory, elect Trump as Speaker even if he doesn’t run for Congress.

That won’t happen, of course. I’m doubtful that even if Trump made made into Congress post-presidency (like John Quincy Adams did), that there are enough actual conservatives in the House to elect him.

“I think he’ll still be that in ’22 and ’24, and if decides to run for the president and the nomination, he’s going to be the party’s nominee,” Rubio told Newsmax host Greg Kelly. “That’s the way I see it.”

As usual most freepers are too lazy to read past the purposefully misleading headline.

Hi.

Proudly posting before reading the article since 1998.

But, given a few recent policy positions of the senator (immigration being just one), my comment stands.

It's a right of passage

“Proudly posting before reading the article since 1998.”

WOW! You’ve volunteered to be gaslighted that long!

Might as well keep the tradition alive then

Little Marco-— repays the ENDORSEMENT of his stumbling Senatorial re-election... Donald Trump Endorsed Rubio. Now this.

This little clown had better wise up. He is a TOOL of the demonrats on the Senate Intel Committee, particularly the a@@hole Warner of VA— who IS a chi-com agent in place. Little Marco should observe what happened to whom he was appointed (by Mitch C) to replace... Richard Burr of NC, another a@@clown pal of Warner. Warner’s actions in re: russia russia and manipulation of intelligence for the demonrat lies— is a CRIMINAL level of action. Him and Adam Schiff (the paedo wonder boy pal of Ed Buck—).

Thinking Rubio still hasn’t gotten it yet. The dems see him as vulnerable because they own something. See: the Fanjul family (olde Cuba sugar money in and out of S. FL and Bahamas). The changing politics of the Cuban American National Foundation. Rubio ought to talk to Humberto Fontova-— for some real world perspectives on the Commies surrounding and compromising him.

I just hope come 2023, Donald Trump is straight with his supporters and officially says ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to running again without much drama. I remember all the ‘will she or won’t she’ and non-stop teasers with Sarah Palin all throughout 2011 and don’t wish to see a repeat of that, as her stringing them along until like October of that year seemed to make a lot of her fans bitter.

Surprise coming for Marco in the coming months. 2020 is going to be fixed and Trump who is the rightfully elected president must and will be returned to office. Otherwise there is no 2022 or 2024.

Why not be honest. Without blatant voter fraud, nobody can beat Trump! Even Ray Charles can see that.

The ONLY reason DJT would consider being speaker - a huge demotion - would be in the unlikely case that it would be a faster track to POTUS than waiting for 2024. And that is assuming he even wants the Presidency at this point - which I think he doesn’t.

Under this unlikely scenario, he would lead the GOP to retake the house and senate in 2022, assume the speakership, immediately impeach Biden AND Harris, assume the Presidency, and thumb his nose at all of his detractors in the most impressive power play in political history.

That would be awesome, but it is a long shot to say the least - because I think President Trump has had his fill of DC.

I skimmed the article and didn’t see it matching the headline.

I think the family business CEO and former president would be frustrated beyond imagination dealing with those jackals!

Agree...

Speaking from experience, when you get really old, there is nothing more life sustaining than being married to a stunningly beautiful woman, no matter how old & aged she gets...

Trump won 74 million votes.

Bovine excrement.

The real number is north of 80 MM.

“He would however make a magnificent Speaker of the House of Representatives, and unless I am mistaken, he would not need to run for office to be so designated.”

How would that work — become Speaker without being elected to the House?

Not necessary to be a House Member.
