Tebow never sued.

We don’t know if he ever took a payoff to stay quiet up and go away.

Maybe someone will get him on the record about that.

Especially since I’ll bet discovery would have ended the NFL.

Just a hunch.

If/when Tebow gets cut, then I’m sure Stephen A will be gloating up a storm.

Tebow and Kapernick are apples and oranges. Kapernick would never try out for a tight end slot, it's starting QB or nothing for him.

Pro football has overtaken the sports landscape in this country. Why should anyone care about any free agent signing two months before training camp?

As usual, DFW sports media is drinking the Kool Aid offered up by Jerry Jones. Jerry's teams have done nothing over the past 25 years, but he keeps getting a pass.

Tebow doesn’t come with the same baggage as Kapernick.

Oh, Tebow comes with far, far more baggage.

At least as far as the NFL is concerned.

But the NFL is desperate or they wouldn’t be resorting to the sports equivalent of stunt casting.

It is worth reiterating to those who can get rid of all woke media ..but are still watching it, that they need to get rid of it. There is no engagement of ideas or civil discourse in those venues. Find something more edifying to do . Save money at the same time. Financially destroy them, legally, of course.

I’m rooting for Tebow but have to say he’s facing long odds at his age. A friend of mine played NFL tight end/ hback and was out of the league at 27. He is now four years older than Tebow.

I’m not talking about Kapernick or what position he tries out for. Same with Prescott. I could care less. Or what the Dallas sports media thinks of the Jones family.

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with either of those things.

My comment was about Smith going bananas over two black men not getting what they deserved because they’re black. Not because of the real reason, one sucks to high heaven and the other just isn’t that good. Certainly not worth $40million or what the Jones’ have agreed to pay him.

And when Tebow doesn’t make the team, or waived at the end of camp….how does his privilige count there?

Sports is the ultimate meritocracy. If you win…you get accolades. If you contribute…you get to keep your job. If you don’t cut it…you get cut.

“That doesn't mean he can play....”

As a starting quarterback in he NFL Tim Tebow has an above average win record.

Tebow has not been a high achiever in terms of domestic violence, illegal drug use, animal cruelty, and the other better known NFL player rankings.

“If they did, and he accepted, I think less of Tebow for it.”

Sounds like you really don’t know if he did good or bad.

Find out and get back with us on this topic - that I’ve never heard fretted about before now.

Tebow wrote on Instagram:
>p>
“I’m so excited to announce the grand opening of the Ekisa Tebow Community Care Center in Iganga, Uganda! So grateful for everyone who have come behind @timtebowfoundation and our partner @ekisa_ministries to help build this first of its kind center to help fight for the children and families in Uganda. This center will bring critical support services including comprehensive healthcare, education, counseling, and financial empowerment, and will ultimately help caretakers become their child’s biggest advocate as they learn the inherent, God-given value and worth of all individuals. Thank you for coming behind our mission, we can’t wait to see how this center changes lives!”

“His Jersey is not only #1 but he holds the top spot in 5 different merchandise categories....”

You have just explained why so many (certainly not all) current and former NFL players rush to the nearest reporter to state Tebow isn't strong enough to tote a big NFL football.

Jealousy.

Yeah, I guess it’s about skin color. Not that one player is positive and self motivated, while the other is toxic and self important.

“Football is 70% black.”

So why don't the ultra successful blacks, who are multimillionaires, form a consortium and buy a couple of NFL or NBA teams. Then they can hire and fire whom they want to employ.

IOW, put your money where your mouth is and quit yer bitchin’.

The futile angst over this is most satisfying.

Tebow proves himself or gets cut and it won’t take long either way. I maintain he’s worth a shot because he gives a team a receiving/running/throwing tight end threat and an emergency QB. I don’t expect him to be a blocking TE. You can run a lot of trickery/fakery with him to keep a defense off balance.

Not to mention his signing is the first thing to happen in the NFL in 5 years that has piqued my interest. I still won’t watch though, unless he has a highlight.

Nah....it ain’t White privilege....it’s White male Christian nationalist privilege. Too bad Florida has a bad ass governor. I’m sure Kate Brown or Tim Walz would be fine with burning down the city of Jacksonville over this.
