In 2011 (and before in college) Tebow’s character gave the national influencers the Mad Tebow disease. And those influencers did what they do - influenced people who could be influenced.
Still today there are those who say the NFL does not have a left-wing bias. I don't believe that and for a good reason: I don't believe that because it is not true.
It’s not a matter of who is a better football player. Tebow was willing to play for league minimum. He ended up with 900K with zero guarantees. I don’t know if that’s minimum or if the zero guarantees make it equivalent.
In any case, Kapernick wanted 11.9 million to suit up.
A no guarantee job means Tebow can be cut at any time. I’m trying to see the downside for Jacksonville, and I just can’t see it. At 6’3” and 240 and in shape, Tebow could do some serious blocking. It’s not like he’s ignorant of football.
