Quote of the week at least.
In the case of a vaccine mandate, the scope of bargaining is likely to be limited. Our position on the need to negotiate around these new provisions has not changed. Our union expects any necessary bargaining to take place prior to implementation, and we urge every AFGE member and federal worker who is able to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Same policy at MITRE.
The reason I ask is that as far as I know, ALL of the social “media” is unreliable since it is opinions being posted.
That is why I have no interest in using it.
To me they are a complete cesspool.
With FR at least you have links to news stories from around the world that can be verified.
Lots of tweets have links, and links of just as high quality as those here at FR. Lots can be verified. If someone on twitter doesn’t back up what they say with solid data, I don’t follow them. Same as here.
I worked for Target Corp in the 90s and found myself in the awkward position of boycotting my own employer when they banned the Salvation Army bell ringers at Christmas because the the Sally didn't hire homos. Their leftist policies only went downhill from there and their reaction was always to double down even tho it affected their bottom line.
My last employer was a very large corp. One of the very higher ups spoke at my company after we were acquired. The irish sob said "As I look ar-r-round the r-r-room I see way too many middle aged white guys."
The room collectively was furious. Disgusting. What a crappy environment to work at from the top on down. I'm so glad we parted ways.
Based on my 15 years or so of bad experience I have little hope for what is to come.
Cheers!
Your post is important—especially in pointing out that we have been dealing with these issues for decades.
The very wealthy have declared war on average Americans.
They are fouling their own nest.
