I work for a soda company(Not Coke, or Pepsi) and I’m not sick of it. I’m getting as much overtime as I can handle.

Tough luck. The companies create fear and panic and demand employees adhere to stupid rules then complain when employees take advantage of such stupidity.

“Cross training our military to keep grocery stores open is an option too. Nothing gives power to commies more than a population starving...”

It our survival comes down to the military doing commercial work, we’re done.

The seven-store supermarket chain Stew Leonard’s in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey had 200 employees in quarantine or isolation as of last Thursday despite a 90% employee-vaccination rate.

It's the ridiculous CDC guidelines that say people need to stay at home for 5-10 days because they got the sniffles or someone in their house has the sniffles.

I'm dealing with this where I work right now.

Sorry you and so many others have to go through that. It has to be on purpose.

Americans don’t call “out” for sick leave.

Thought there were no goods to stock so why allot more time to stock? Maybe if people weren’t panic buying 10 times more food than they’ve bought in the past, factories could keep up with the demand and there wouldn’t be shortages.

I heard this morning someone complaining there was no pasta while in the same breath saying there was a huge stock of macaroni. Uh, ooook. Not the first time hearing sobs over pasta shapes.

Before Piggly Wiggly was founded in 1916, grocery stores did not allow customers to gather their own goods. Before that time, stores operated on the “General Store” model, where a customer would give a list of items to a clerk, who would then gather them together. Piggly Wiggly’s innovation allowed customers to gather their own goods, which increased impulse buying, cut costs, and lowered prices.

As with Wal-Mart today, detractors such as Lucille here complained that Piggly Wiggly's way of doing business was driving out competition and creating a monopoly.

My name is Piggly Wiggly, and I swear, you can help yourself.

And you have to have your greenback, for we won't take nothng else...

Here in SoCal, since Jan 3, there has been NO Traffic anywhere, it was back to about 80% of terrible and after the holidays, gone, nada maybe 50%.

I've noticed that--it's like 2020 all over again.

It’s a bit lighter than usual here in the Bay Area, but not much lighter. Roads are still largely full, but flowing. Just got back from a 90 mile round trip from Mountain View to Livermore to go hiking with my daughter and her fiancé.

Only had four people cut me off and another five squeeze in front of me when there was nobody behind me for a half mile. It’s traffic nirvana!

Omicron probably had an African predecessor that the vaccine makers and the federal government apparently didn’t make a serious effort to deal with.

This is a ridiculous response to omicron.

It’s a very mild viral infection and does not warrant the over reaction to it.

What a nation of wusses we’ve turned into.
