Be careful clicking on the link to magapac.org because it told me I was running an old copy of Firefox (I wasn’t) and downloaded a file without my permission that looked like it was a firefox update file. I backed out and deleted the file without opening it.

Doesn't have to be immediate: the demand goes both ways, as Russia doesn't have the infrastructure in place to ship to China yet. A year from now it's unlikely the Europeans will be importing any gas from Russia.
And they've already said no to Russia's demand to paid in Rubles.
