I laughed until couldn’t laugh watching them.

They all moderate to some extent.

To the extent of prohibiting illegal postings, and I consider that reasonable.

To the extent of prohibiting illegal postingsā€¦

They all go beyond that, as they must.

Anyone who spends time on the internet knows a completely unmoderated forum would quickly become unusable.

Between trolls, spam, intentional disrupters and petty squabbles no sane person would want to visit, let alone participate.

And you want to turn every private forum into that kind of cesspool.

I have heard this said of Gab, but I have also read commentary from people who use Gab. They say individuals can block people, and use filters to keep the Nazis and hate mongers off their screens.

In other words, individual users moderate their own received content, which I see nothing wrong with. The problem is when *OTHER PEOPLE* decide for everybody what they shouldn't be permitted to see.

And you want to turn every private forum into that kind of cesspool.

Every public forum into that kind of cesspool. If they want to keep it private then they can do what they want, but so long as they solicit or permit users from the public, they are a *PUBLIC* forum.
