That is not how you negotiate.
The Trump type of negotiation would start like this....
“If they leave immediately, they can get on a list for a chance to come back in 10 years. If they don’t leave immediately, they will be treated as enemy combatants who have invaded our country. Anyone with permanent residency who meets with them or assists them in any way will have their legal status cancelled. Any business that hires them will be fined 10’s of thousands of dollars. Children aged 14 and up will be treated as adults. Children under 14 will go into foster care when the parents are arrested.”
Then if the Democrats make a good enough argument, we may loosen up our stance slightly on some of these area.
