Perhaps - but the NASCAR fans are the customers of the corporate giants who pay for all those advertisements, so it will catch up to them one way or the other.
I live about 80 miles from Daytona and went to the 500 and 4th of July races, I loved Speedweeks in February, all that has gone now...NASCAR started their descent when Dale Sr. died and the France family started to be run by a spoil moron.
Time for NASCAR to lose some Texas state privileges a la Florida.
In case there was any question about the mental level of people who like to sit in the sun, damaging their hearing while watching cars go round and round and round.
NASCAR became too corporate for my taste well before they became woke. As hard as NASCAR tries, these communities these folks are pandering to already think NASCAR is white redneck MAGA world and could give a crap if you kiss their asses. Aint nothing going to change their minds... it will however eventually bankrupt NASCAR.

So let me get this straight, it is somehow “welcoming to all” to apologize for the popularly elected governor being allowed at an event in his own state?

Who cares? I stopped watching and following NASCAR when they banned the Confederate Flag. Haven’t missed it.

I expect them to bust out electric stock cars any time now. Actually surprised they have not already.
