Trump has been wrong before and unless he struck a deal with this assistant democrat that basically says Trump will endorse him but he needs to support MAGA, then Trump has made another mistake.
The Republican party didn’t want Trump in 2016, either as nominee or President. Their eagerness to accept The Steal shows they didn’t want him to win in 2020. It is my firm belief that the GOP does not want him to be the nominee in 2024. I believe the GOP wants to keep him off the ballots for the primaries, thus their silence wrt the Jan 6 commission. ICBW, but I believe that Mr. Trump is finally playing politics and intends to cash in these endorsements along with other arrows he may have in his quiver to assure his presence at the convention as the Republican candidate for President and have the people of this nation show the rest of Washington what this nation wants. Should DC decide to initiate another Steal, again with GOP aquiessance, it will be up to the people to set things right however they may see fit.
Trump all the way.. This was a mistake but he is all the republic has going for it.
I think he trusted Pence to much. PLUS Jared Kushner, Tucker Carlson did a piece about JK was instrumental was giving him bad advice.
I have a hard time not seeing the shadow of Paul Ryan behind McCarthy.
Coming from the world of business it might be hard to Trump to grasp the reality that in politics agreements are about as firm as Jell-O. I just don’t get Trump thinking that McCarthy will be a political ally.
I like your theory. Hopefully it will be proved true and Trump’s influence will be seen IF we win back the House & Senate.
Don’t get me wrong-it is a puzzle for me as well.
I fully understand at some point in the past trying to forge this relationship, but since he left office, McCarthy has show just who he is.
Perhaps Trump as read the tea-leaves and knows McCarthy won’t be going anywhere if the Republicans DO retake the House, but...it is still difficult to fathom.
And I know I am not the only one.

President's Trump's image, etc is being used by Senate Republicans for their re-election fund. No way they could do that without his permission.
