but since the married women seem to fall under the “love your neighbor as you love yourself” rule, this relationship - had it been a real live relationship - would be the will of God

Wow, just wow. They literally took a line from Kipling's "Gods of the Copybook Headings" and tried to make it a play on a Christian proverb.

The idea of love from the Bible is a sacrificial love, eschewing what you want to meet the real needs of another. Not, hey I love you lets jump into bed.

(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)

All art is religious and has a worldview, is preaching a message…even if it’s just the ancient Universal Vague Religion of Satan, watered down real good with a Coke and a big bucket of buttered popcorn.

People mock and scoff at this, but there they go buying into the message they’ve been consistently preached.

"Everything in American life, it seems, has been politicized, from shaving to eating. There is literally no escaping it."

I respectfully disagree. Yes, it seems like worldly lifestyle is everywhere. But with a fair amount of self-discipline you learn to shut it off -- and save money. And learn to like Christian and/or American friendly sources of information and entertainment. Basically, Philippians 4:8 can be done but takes work: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

For instance, I'm currently reading on FR while I'm listening to the Reluctant Radio podcast. Sometimes I watch decades old TV shows and movies I missed while I was busy attending college while working full time (stuff made in the pre-woke days that are new to me). Sometimes in the evening I re-read my morning Bible scripture but study it deeper. Lately I'm reading through the Bible again but this time paying attention to the global warming and cooling cycles that were going on at each time period in the Bible. (To me it's fascinating that God parted the Red Sea during the Minoan Warm Period, which was warmer than our Modern Warm Period and, therefore, the sea levels were probably higher. Yet God parted the Red Sea easier than a defensive line is parted by a Lane Kiffin offense. Or the times the Israelites turned back to God and God blessed them even during the Greek Dark Age cooling period when the nations around them were experiencing horrible climate catastrophes.) And, stop and think about it, would you rather waste time on worldly media or would you rather use that time getting it on with the wife?

Learning to break media addiction in general is probably healthy spiritually, especially now.

If I want to see a gay puppet show, I can probably just go to Drag Queen Story Hour for that and save $20.

The LGBTQ has finally added the “D” for Disney.

“This presented Lucas’ father with a dilemma.”

Easy solution to his dillemma: just go take a vacation to Saudi Arabia, or Dubai, or Pakistan and watch the movie there. Disney is happy to censor out all the homo stuff in those countries.

DO NOT support Disney in any way.

THIS is the Munchausen-by-proxy psycho who runs their "entertainment" division...TWO "trans" kids!

The confusion of lust and love. The world thinks they are the same.

Holy is not a word in their vocabulary.

“Wow, just wow. They literally took a line from Kipling’s “Gods of the Copybook Headings” and tried to make it a play on a Christian proverb.”

I missed that. Wow! That’s why it came out as au courante balderdash.

Imitating Kipling is a crime today. Doesn’t His Wokeness understand imitating banned writers badly is eschewed on both the left and right for different reasons? /s

(I can’t reply right now. I have a burning need to re-read “The White Man’s Burden.”)

Also they can’t string together a coherent sentence.

Yeah, there are some things lost in translation from Greek to English, and one of them is the subtleties of “love”, which we only have one word for, while the Greek had several.

Just the fact that Chris Evans is apart of it guarantees its going to be a stunning example mediocrity.

There are lots of "conservatives" who still go to Disneyland/World or watch Disney movies. Who knows what dippy rationale allows them to claim to hate the degeneracy of our society while still going to Disney movies.

I guess that's why I walked away from the GOP. Their blindness makes them as much the enemy as the "libtards".

At almost 75, I'm am so glad I don't have grandchildren/great-grandchildren in this day and age. Although my grandchildren would probably be in their 20's or early 30's ( my two sons are in their 50's), I don't have to be concerned with any of them being indoctrinated or perverted by the school system, Hollywood, or the government. I wouldn't want to be young today, and try to bring up kids in this world, or see my grandchildren bring up their children. I have a niece who has 4 children...the oldest graduating high school, and going to college on a soccer scholarship in the fall. My niece lost her father, my brother, when she was 16 (1995). He died of a massive heart attack at home, in front of her and her older siblings, when she was 16.

I won't say I don't know how they do it, because I do know how they do it. Both work...she during the day, and her husband works evenings, so there isn't a gap in parenting. My niece, who is the supervisor of a hospital lab, has made sure her kids are up-to-snuff when it comes to their school grades. She and her husband have promoted sports for their two sons and twin daughters (my niece played basketball and other sports in high school), from the time the kids were in grammar school. Their schedules are hectic. School nights are full of practices. Many weekends are spent on the road, out of state for soccer tournaments, but they haven't let that stop them from making their kids, their number one priority. What their kids do with their lives after their formative years is up to them. Their parents at least, have given them a solid foundation to stand on once they are on their own. My brother would be very proud of her. I know my sister-in-law is.

I told someone pushing the “It is just love” thing:

“I love my daughters. But if I had sex with them, someone needs to kill me slowly!”

I have no problem with two women loving each other. I’m disgusted by homoSEXuality, not homoLOVEuality! I’m supposed to love my pastor’s wife, but (Thank God!) that doesn’t mean I’m supposed to bed her!

Great movie, but, those first 30 minutes. My wife had just gone through Chemo at that point and while she is doing quite well right now, I was “concerned” for her.

It’ really hit home.
