I’ve killed coyotes at just under 300 yards with a .22 because that is what I had at hand. No wind so the drift isn’t bad and you watch the bullet impacts to get your elevation right and walk the shots in. At that distance they don’t know what hit them even after a few shots to get it right. The little bullets don’t completely run out of energy at that distance. Lob enough of them in and you can ruin a day.

Whoever it is they clearly didn’t think things through, because rural voters don’t have the numbers to swing elections, they also tend to not have a ton of time on their hands for naval-gazing as many are farmers whose day starts at 5:00 A.M. or so.
Around here we have a small sheriff’s force and a big county. What amazes me though is how fast and how many of them and OHP can converge on the local hot bed of domestic violence and meth fueled arguments nearly 20 miles from the county seat. They have to go right past my house five miles from town to get there. When I am out working I first hear one when he turns the corner three miles away and then in just a few minutes I can hear the rest coming like a swarm of bees and they aren’t wasting any time when they fly by as back-up to the first one.
A meth head killed our sheriff’s father over nothing a couple of years ago. He is not inclined to mercy or messing around. Last year one decided to get frisky at the McDonalds down by the interstate. Sheriff personally took him out with three rounds dead center of chest. City cops did the same thing not long ago with a transient jacking around at a hotel and they are mostly donut munchers. OHP are even less tolerant. Cornering one of them is a very very bad idea.
I really hope someone pisses us off more than we are now.
Since the left associates guns with crime, they must think that because the rural areas have such low violent crime that the residents must not be armed.

That poster ("ripitthrowawy") is quite likely a Federal informant who has been let out on a very long leash. It's a crappy part-time job that basically pays nothing, but it does come with certain privileges. Like the authorities will ignore misdemeanor crimes and even some felonies. Just keep the provocation reports coming in.
And when hot-header posters respond, the Feds can add a few more names to the lists that are already too long for them to work on. It shows the bosses that they are "doing something".
The possibility that a "Non-Governmental-Organization" will train and equip "technicals" to furnish "protective escort" to a rent-a-mob of "mostly peaceful protestors" who show up in a small town or in a suburban area is not zero.
A couple of FBI trainees and a supervisor could roll up such an attempted terrorist operation in a month and have all of the instigators under indictment. If they were allowed to work on such things, of course. Too bad they get other instructions.

What it really means is communism. It actually is the complete opposite of equality.
See, “equity” has a justice component to it. So some guy somewhere gets to decide how equality is divided up. you would think it would be 50-50. But if the other guy is a letftard or tranny, he’s a little more equal than us. And the law is adjusted accordingly.
