You might like to ask if your local election officials are so zealous and skillful.

Plus the Judge wouldn’t allow what would have been normal defense in similar cases, such as they were reporting on and giving opinions on the words of The President of The united States, something that would have been covered by the first amendment if it was not Donald Trump saying it. In this case President Trump and his staff were stating what they believed at the time was true, triggering the Fox News reporting. Also they wouldn’t let fox news show a Jury video evidence of the disclaimers given by the hosts of the various shows. What the idiot corporate media don’t understand about this is now the precedent has been set, busting the old Sullivan rules, is that Trump’s civil lawsuits over the “Russia Hoax” show now make all of them pay hefty settlements to trump for spreading what many of them knew were lies as truth and ruining his reputation with many Americans. Especially those media groups that continued the Russia Hoax after the Mueller report came out. And those that spread the Hunter laptop lie. Notice that the amount of the settlement came out, but not the time frame for payout. spread over 20 or 30 years and that’s just a major star’s salary.

I’ve wondered about all of this financial illogic too. Like they are all working a shadow con together, raiding treasuries to pay for the storefront.

“we would trade it all in a heartbeat to go back in time to get our reputation back.”

interesting statement

I can’t believe Fox settled this out of court. Now they have zero recourse.

I assume their lawyers know a lot more about it than we do and determined they couldn't win in court. My conclusion is that rigged voting machines were not a factor in the 2024 elections - the outcome was the result of organized and determined ballot harvesting by the Democrats. Unless the GOP has its own ballot harvesting mechanisms in place in 2024, the results are going to be the same.

The States should DUMP Dominion.

Discontinue using the machines and finally TRASH them.

I’d join a support group with that message.

The Dominion reputation was shot anyway, they are sleazes that are beholden to non-American investors, and they have prostituted their services to those non-Americans and anti-Americans, by means of making some kind of bizarre algorithm a part of the programming of their machine, to artificially rig the vote count. Hand counts have almost always compared poorly with the machine count in many precincts, but there has been much lawfare involved in suppressing either the actual hand count, or in reporting the results in those places where the hand count was really done.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/17/media/dominion-fox-news-allegations/index.html

There are 20 items, of which only numbers 15, 16 and 18 are problematic in my opinion. They all involve Lou Dobbs.

Numbers 16 and 18 are tweets.

Number 16 involves a quote from an embedded document. The quote is defective in the sense that “every Dominion machine...”.

There is no such capability at the voting machine level, only at the higher level tabulating level.

Now should ordinary people who are not computer experts be expected to understand complex computing systems?

Number 18:

Key false quote: “Cyber Pearl Harbor: @SidneyPowell1 reveals groundbreaking new evidence indicating our Presidential election came under massive cyber-attack orchestrated with the help of Dominion, Smartmatic, and foreign adversaries. #MAGA #AmericaFirst #Dobbs,” Dobbs wrote.

Fox might be protected under Section 230. Twitter is.

Also, is Lou Dobbs Tonight a separate legal entity? It was once part of CNN, and CNN might have retained trademark rights to the name if it once held them.

That leaves number 15:

“Dominion Voting Systems, you have described it with algorithms which were designed to be inaccurate rather than to be a secure system,” Dobbs said. Dobbs was merely repeating the beliefs of his guest.

When doing live broadcasts it is not possible to verify what guests such as Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani say instantaneously. Of course inviting them back after saying dubious things may have legal ramifications.

I believe even William Barr admits to there having been voter fraud, of which there was a lot.

I believe one can say voter fraud in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Michigan made the voter fraud “widespread”. The DNC and Joe Biden might disagree.

The dbag should be overjoyed with the settlement because there is absolutely no way they could have shown over 3/4 of a billion dollars in damages caused by the actions of Fox News.

Elections are highly complex.

It is not possible for a software company to fully prevent fraud.

Computer systems have override capabilities, such as if a deposit is placed into an account with one digit off or if your bank decides it is best not to ding you $37 and hence lose a $100,000 account.

The need for overrides will always exist. At the election a polling station might have Joe Biden as a candidate and another polling station in another county might have Joe R Biden as a candidate. The system has to be able to deal with such situations.
