Of course not. He overheard aides on Sunday telling Dr. Jill that the sub was lost, and he responded "It's not lost! It's right here at the bottom of my bathtub!"
They may not have wanted to disclose capabilities. If so, then leaking it now makes no sense. Sometimes there is an innocent explanation. When a Democrat is involved, Oakham’s razor favors the devious hypothesis.
I want one of those.
What is heels-up's scandal other than being stupid and incompetent?
Many are doing the same...as the Scriptures say "“And having food and raiment let us be therewith content."
Works for me.
Still wondering what went on during that eight hour delay...
It was a private venture. All participants had signed waivers.
No government assets should have been used in the operation. If they want to be rescued, they should have arranged for a private rescue operation funded by insurance.
Private individuals voluntarily undertaking high-risk adventures should be on their own.
I wonder if there is a correlation between Freeps who support Zelinsky and those who prayed for the people on the sub.
Which implosion was bigger: The submarine’s or Biden’s campaign for 2024?
“He said that they lost contact with the Titan “
How was communication done between the Titan and a surface ship? Radio? Sonar?
That story is Alex Jones on steroids.
The MSM would have ran with this no matter what. They love this kind of thing.
Why should he have?
Does he have a direct Silver Alert hotline?
What have I got???
Mine fell off, THEN turned green!!
I have to agree with Erik.
Okay, having no trust in this government whatsoever, allow me to propose this given scenario:
submersible loses contact, then goes boom. U.S. Navy picks up the sound on SOSUS - just like every other sound that gets picked up in the North Atlantic. Check out a globe, folks - that’s a pretty big place.
So, instead of writing it off and giving the family the middle finger, let’s search for the remains to CONFIRM it’s what we heard down there. Cuz that boom could have been from ANYTHING else, e.g. seismic activity, other crafts in the area, etc.
The knocks every 30 mins? Could have been anything that was in the water but still working. Again, big ocean.
The search party gets sent right to where the heard the boom, and look for a debris field. Find it, confer with USN on the co-ordinates, then word goes out “Yeah, we heard a boom, and thought it might be the submersible, notified the family, then the public. Pretty straight forward.
Meanwhile, everyone complaining about the attempted cover-up of other news somehow KNEW about said covered-up news. Think about that.
Just my $0.02
jimjohn - out.
It's gonna WHAT?!?!?
Don't tell this fish.
Sure there is!!
Telling a family that their loved one is alive only to discover later that they died.
Yep, Biden is corrupt as the day is long and McCarthy refuses to impeach.
Agreed.
A Navy review of acoustics data detected an “anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion” on Sunday in the general area the Titan was diving when it went silent, a senior Navy official told CNN. The information was “immediately shared” with on-scene commanders leading the search and used to narrow the search area, the official said. The sound was determined to be “not definitive” and “the decision was made to continue our mission as a search and rescue and make every effort to save the lives on board.”
If the anomaly turned out not to be the sound of the implosion and all rescue efforts were stopped on Sunday, the 5 people declared dead on Sunday based on the “anomaly” but the sub was later found intact either mid column or bobbing on the surface but out of oxygen, there would be hell to pay for all involved for stopping the rescue mission too early.
