Disney is run by perverts.
Never a good idea to spit on your customers.
…or molest their children.
I'm only half-joking
Disney! The Bud Light of Theme Parks.
BEST Statement in the entire Article -
“Maybe Disney can move Disney World to Epstein Island. Where it belongs.”
"From the research I've done since SAG/AFTRA announced they were going on strike, it appears one of the big sticking points (as we all assumed) was a fair share of residual payments from streaming programming. The majors have ALWAYS remained pretty silent on just HOW MANY VIEWS a show really gets when they call it a hit, and now it appears they have not only shot themselves in the foot, but they are going to have to come clean in order to get this settled.
"I can tell you from experience that TV shows streaming on the Internet get FAR, FAR LESS views than what a show gets when it airs on broadcast TV or cable - FAR LESS. That didn't stop the majors from proclaiming shows like "The Wonderful Mrs. Weasel" (or whatever the hell that Amazon show is called) or "Better Call Saul" or "House of Cards" are enormous hits and watched by millions - that, like when they say the Oscars are watched by a billion people around the world each year, is all total horse manure.
The problem for them now is when they do produce the real viewer clicks to try and reach a fair settlement and show that the numbers are not what they were bragging about - even though they never did reveal them in the first place - nobody is going to believe them; it will be the old "Hollywood Accounting" story. But this time it's true - the money to be made in streaming is a far cry from the old model...all of the studios over-extended their budgets to try and compete with Netflix and now they are not only deeply in the red, but the whole thing is going to bite them in their posteriors" and blow up in their faces. They are all slowly discovering that the old model of commercial TV is the only way they will attempt to recoup some of their investments, but no way at least right now can they charge per ad what they do over the air or on cable. They will never sell and keep enough subscriptions to justify the billions spent on new content, most of which nobody watches. The next several weeks are going to be quite interesting."
(Why is your cable bill so high? Overspending by networks and studios and high sports rights fees--ESPN (which the Mouse wants to keep though they may sell ABC). Then add the money lost on theatrical bombs like Elemental.
Thank you for the post. I have zero streaming services and zero pay channels.
The media deserve to take it in the rear.
They have been pushing filth and deviant behaviors for years. Decades really.
I do this crazy thing…I read books…
If you read any other insight news, please let me know, thank you.
Yup, I have Disney + but may dump.
I did subscribe briefly to streaming
services for stuff like Twin Peaks The
Return but then cancelled.
Variety on the Elenental bomb:

June 19
Over the weekend, “Elemental” collapsed at the domestic box office with a $29.5 million opening, by far the worst debut in Pixar’s 28-year history. Even forgettable Pixar adventures, like 2015’s “The Good Dinosaur” ($39 million), 2020’s “Onward” ($39 million) and last year’s massive money-loser “Lightyear” ($51 million), managed to fill more seats in their opening weekends.
(snip)
Pixar has been struggling since the pandemic, when its corporate overlords at Disney used the pedigree of the animation brand to prop up its new streaming service. During that period, new offerings “Soul,” “Luca” and “Turning Red” were sent directly to Disney+ and family audiences became accustomed to expect those movies at home.
It’s more expensive for a family of four to go to a theater when they know they can wait and it’ll come out on the platform,” Docter has since admitted to Variety. Now, the studio is attempting to reverse course. In an effort to remind the public that Pixar is once again making movies for multiplexes, Disney shelled out to send “Elemental” to the Cannes Film Festival, where it was greeted with a five-minute standing ovation. “We’re trying to make sure people realize there’s a great deal you’re missing by not seeing it on the big screen,” Docter added.
Disney is no longer entertainment it’s now a training center for the perverts
Lol, as if Cannes Film Festival correlates heavily with the average American.
Disney is about to lose over $800 million this year.
If I owned stock, fiduciary negligence would be something I would be seriously considering.
When will Disney open a TrannyLand?
Closed at $85 on Monday.
It does not pay a dividend, and the Price/Earnings ratio is at 38, which is roughly twice as high as most mature stocks.
Disney stock is NOT done going down.
Will Minnie Mouse soon have to walk the streets to buy groceries?
My suggestion for disney to generate some quick revenue that would cost them almost nothing, is to re-release Song of the South. Don’t remake it, just re-release the DVD.
You have BlackRock and others holding into Disney stock for corporate 401k holdings, for ESG purposes rather than because it’s a good investment.
They should be sued for violating their fiduciary obligations.
its a great idea
email iger
hey disney
