Back a few years ago there was that female sergeant who trolled online forums to get junior enlisted in trouble. She got a Meritorious Service Medal out of the deal for jumping the entire chain of command of those involved by going straight to DA/DOD.

The supposed checks and balances of the military or the gooberment in general are a farce, a sick joke and criminal in themselves.
Every person in that chain of supposed integrity has a conflict of interest. The IG simply can’t be and is not independent. They work for the people they are investigating. Objectivity and independence are impossible.
The military of today is nothing but a full up police state with the gulag only one misstep or misspoken word away.
If you are in, get out as quickly as you can. If you are out and straight, white or conservative stay out.

Wen you join the Armed Forces you give up certain rights.IIRC open criticism of senior commanders...military or civilian...is a violation of the UCMJ. Probably under the "good order and discipline" concept.
I'm not saying that's good...but I'm pretty sure that it *is* real.
