As the great Yogi once said predictions are hard,
especially about the future.
North Idaho here. It’s been glorious weather. It was supposed to rain today and the next couple days, but that disappeared from the forecast and the sun is shining on all the red, yellow and orange leaves right now. But highs are dropping down to 38-40 at the end of the week. Brrrr.
I thought they had moved on to “climate crisis” to emphasize the urgency.
I’m ahead of the game - ordering wool blankets.
I’m more scared of what Biden is doing to our energy prospects (and costs thereof) than in ditsy climate prophecies...
but Algore said the Polar Bears will drown
He’s Russian, so you know where this is going.
Boy am I happy I moved to Florida! Guess property values here will go up.
Colder is better for me. An unlimited supply of firewood, wood stove, and coats for being outside. 104 degrees is unbearable as I get older.
Supposed to cool off here next week, to highs in the 80s and lows around 60. It’s been a warm October so far. In past years we’ll get first frost around mid-November but it may be later this year. Still picking peppers and the last couple of zucchini.
“Renowned Arctic Scientist Debunks ‘Climate Crisis,’ Warns ‘Ice Age’ Is Coming”
The Earth alternates between LONG Ice ages and much shorter warm periods. We are currently overdue for an Ice age. In an Ice age agricultural output will crash, and BILLIONS of people will die. It will make the worst Global Warming look like a picnic.
I think you’re right. “Crisis”’definitely gives it that added urgency that buffaloes the MSN audiences.
If you read geology you know this planet’s climate has been all over the place!
River beds in the Sahara, Med Sea pretty much dried up, land bridges between North America and Eurasia (The native Americans didn’t swim here! They walked.), the Great Lakes formed by glaciers and so much CO2 that ferns were as tall as trees (and dinosaurs)
Propaganda on steroids. Started at least 57 years ago.
I don’t have a PhD in anything, but I can tell you for sure the global warming folks and ice age warning folks are both wrong. It’s the Weather Change warning that’s coming. I know for sure the weather will change every day especially when you plan an outdoor activity like a picnic. It will rain... guaranteed.
“We know that the Earth has had at least five major ice ages. The first one happened about 2 billion years ago and lasted about 300 million years. The most recent one started about 2.6 million years ago, and in fact, we are still technically in it.”
“ Right now we are in the most recent ice age's warm interglacial period, which began about 11,000 years ago.”
“When most people talk about the “ice age,” they are usually referring to the last glacial period, which began about 115,000 years ago and ended about 11,000 years ago with the start of the current interglacial period.
During that time, the planet was much cooler than it is now. At its peak, when ice sheets covered most of North America, the average global temperature was about 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius). That's 11 degrees F (6 degrees C) cooler than the global annual average today.“
Good, I can tell all of my lefty friends, “see what you did with your electric cars and windmills”

we could be under 1 mile of ICE and the left will blame it on oil, guaranteed!
Yeah, me too but -50 for a decade or two won’t work for me. Then again, by the time it arrives I’ll likely be gone. “Warmest” regards. 😁👍
🙏🇮🇱👍
yep, we are in an inter glacial and are way overdue for the next ice age.
