Another reason I’m voting for President Trump.
Yes only a pardon from Trump will provide any justice
True justice for the Jan 6 political prisoners would be every Democrat and half the Republicans in the House and Senate to be incarcerated in a foul gulag with minor physical torture for at least 6 years each.... And MUCH worse for the ones who plotted the trap.
Trump had the ability to preemptively pardon those entered the Capitol on January 6. Again, he failed to do so.
“I voted to certify the electors and seat the new President. It’s not about that anymore. They won’t even admit there is election fraud and want to pretend nothing happened.”Wonder where your son got his double-mindedness from, eh Ron?
— Rand Paul @RandPaul 10:07 AM Jan 24, 2021
Sure he had the opportunity, while he was in the midst of being “impeached” for the second time.
As usual, Ron Paul is right. It’s a shame that his son isn’t quite him.
No he didn’t. They were rounded up after inauguration day and the ones who were taken into custody prior hadn’t been charged except for misdemeanors like trespassing.
Do something!
These people didn’t do anything.
The FBI and DOJ hadn't arrested the hundreds and hundreds of J6ers by January 20, 2021.
Weird I remember years ago Freepers were praising Rand Paul and dismissing Ron Paul as just being a libertarian nut job
Trump had the opportunity to pardon those arrested before he left office but failed to do so.

********
Only a handful of protesters had been charged before Trump left the White House.
A blanket pardon would’ve been seen as reckless during that time period. It could’ve led to a conviction in the 2nd impeachment farce.
Which you would’ve been fine with, because you dislike Trump.
This isn't a republic anymore.
Basic rights, unalienable rights, what the Bill of Rights addresses, have all been abridged. Not a trick question or mere rhetoric, but can you name me one of the first ten amendments which has not been abridged?
You have a run away government bureaucracy, a massive beast which has become the nations largest employer (federal and state ~23 million employees / NOT counting cities and defense), encompasses more than 47.66% of the GDP (if you add federal, state county and city), and has 51,000 pages of federal regulations with over 3,000 punishable offenses. It's not a joke, the government regulates how much water a toilet uses per flush, what light-bulb you get to buy, or what percent of motor vehicles on the road are electric, what your kids eat for lunch, even what information on the WWW gets to come into the country and be viewed by your eyes. Do you really think we still have a free market?
Today, this massive government bureaucracy has increasingly become political, the leaders don't even try to appear fair anymore. They are losing any semblance of objectivity and neutrality and like in a communist regime, have a centralized top down driven agenda that goes beyond the purpose of what that organization was created for. They have today become a henchmen for those political leaders that want to abuse these powers for their own personal and party benefit. When you have a modern Justice department with broad reaching powers like today, with a massive budget, manpower, technical capabilities in the intel world, and they are highly biased, does that pose a danger for elections or basic civil rights of the citizen?
J6 is “proof” that we have a serious problem.
It is only one example of many: IRS targeting conservative groups, the highly questionable FISA on Trump tower, when the AG pushed a teachers union agenda by going after disgruntled parents that are concerned about their children's curricula...
Today, (((the United States has political prisoners))). Let that soak in.
Ron won’t get justice for them. Trump will. It’s one of the reasons I’m voting for him.
What’s weird is you think we shouldn’t agree with anything someone says just because some don’t support everything he stands for. I can’t stand Biden, but I agree with him when he says Hamas wants to kill Jews
Those on the J6 Committee KNEW. They knew and sat by while people were imprisoned and mistreated, and were just fine with it.
That’s false.
