Yup. I met a woman who was pummeled in the head years ago by an "Amish" student in one of the bad sections of Hartford, CT. She nearly lost one eye, and now has to wear thick glasses for the rest of her life just to see.

This woman is about 65 now, but left teaching decades ago after the beating. Who can blame her?? I wouldn't even step foot in that part of Hartford, much less go to a job there every day.

One or two chubbies in the pic…who were nowhere near the level of ‘fat’ today. Totally surprised at how relatively slim they look compared to kids today.

I grew up in West Hartford and when I got my driver’s license at age 16 my parents took out a map of the Hartford area and drew a red circle around the north part of the city of Hartford.

They said that if I ever drove in that part of town and they found out about it my driving privileges (their vehicle) were permanently revoked.

I got the message.

(It was the literal “red lining” the leftists complain about...lol.)

Sadly, now just about ALL of Hartford is off limits. What used to be the nice Italian South End section of Hartford is awful now. Lots of shootings and gang activity there as well over the past several years.
