I was required to provide a notarized birth certificate at my last two jobs, in addition to other papers such as government issued picture ID et al.
Maybe it is because I’m a white man?
How in the hell did a roofing co here in Illinois get shut down and fined out for the bung hole for hiring illegals.
IIRC, it is in fact illegal to come to the US and work without permission...meaning the Biden DOJ is working at cross purposes with federal immigration law.
Walmart requires documents for employment that can include a birth certificate and a driver’s license.
The company agreed to the fine...
But this is how the Left operates...they bully the private sector with the courts to the point where it’s easier just to settle and move on.

Time for a complete reset. Shame the people don’t have the willingness for it.
You figure? The factory I've been at for 6 months regularly lets blacks and whites go for infractions while Hispanics aren't. During the shift-start mission briefing we have a duel-language supervisor repeating it all for the roughly half Spanish language people who won't or can't learn English. I suspect I'm kept on more for being disabled (no larynx) rather than outworking most of them.
Amusing really. My Harpo Marx routines and demonstrations teach these people better and faster than using spoken language.
I'm constantly embarrassed by these Gen Z white kids coming in for a day or two then quitting when the work gets hard or they think they're being treated badly. They illustrate WHY the illegals are preferred.

It is inconceivable to me that an Employer has to take an illegal’s word for the docs UNLESS it is an obvious fake
