Just remember the go-to Neo-Con creed: “It’s in our national security interests.” A phrase once uttered justifies intervention anywhere at anytime. It’s more popular than “Peace through Strength”. If corporate interests can justify being in the Middle East, then justifying South America is a slam dunk in their eyes.

You’re right. YouTube pulled videos of the noodle-arm Venezuelan troops taking fire from lightly armed anti-Madero guerillas and scattering like mice.
