It’ll take at least five years to concoct the perfect woke, anti-racist bridge name and get all the race hustlers and virulent leftists to agree to it.

Let offer a guess before I read a word from the article.
Regulations & ecological impact studies.
Now I'll go see if I am even close. 🤣

Imagine what it would take to put a man on the moon now. I don’t think that we could do it within 20 years.

Wes Moore. Brandon Scott. They're going to make sure their family and buddies get paid.
Mayor Pete will make sure of that.

And don’t forget most all of it isn’t authorized by the constitution. They just took the authority.

We are getting a new bridge here to replace an old one built in the early 70's. It has to conform to the American With Disabilities Act so that it will be easier for people in wheelchairs to cross, which they cannot now. The bridge will be twice as long and twice as wide as the old one. It will be taller with a lower angle of approach and descent. Many properties and businesses had to be procured and torn down to build this bridge which won't be opened until 2027 or later......

I miss the days when American had a “Get it done” attitude.
For example, by 1943 it only took on average 39 days to build a Liberty Ship. Now it would take 39 weeks just to decide if the word “liberty” is racist or not.

DEI Yes what added cost will DEI cause.
How many token engineers will be working on the project to satisfy wokism?
How many extra Human Resource managers will be on the payroll to ensure that there are enough members of under represented groups working in key areas of the project?
However many DEI beneficiaries are employed on the project it won't be enough, guaranteed.

Empire State Bldg - 1 year, 45 days
Hoover Dam - 5 years
Golden Gate- 4 years, 4 1/2 months
Between federal meddling and incompetance, and local graft and incompetance, who can predict in Baltimore.

if the design was complete and ready for bid, construction would take 3 to 4 years. designing a new bridge will take 2 years.
a new bridge is 6 to 7 years away....

quickly turn into a years-long quagmire as a result of environmental red tape under the Biden administration, We have an opportunity, later this year, to END the Biden regime.

Congress simply needs to either remove the environmental review process or make any permits "shall issue" with strict deadlines.
The first thing Congress should do is remove the right of private action to strip the envirokooks of standing so they and NIMBYs cannot sue.

And don’t forget most all of it isn’t authorized by the constitution. They just took the authority. The root of the problem is actually our monetary system. If I could issue my own money in any amount, which you were forced to use, I would naturally become the most powerful person in the nation.
the Founders stated very clearly what money should be, and its NOT what we have now.
