Bingo. The only way this crap stops is via tit for tat. Only when right leaning DA’s start charging prominent Democrats with crimes in red districts will Democrats stop. Unless and until those on the Right retaliate in kind, Leftists will keep engaging in rampant lawfare.

I just pointed out that any sort of change to the status quo is going to result in people who have both the money and time taking advantage of the loopholes you seem to think would be a good idea to punch in the system.
If the president does not have immunity the whole thing is going to collapse right on your head.

They have multiple actions they can be charged for.
Clinton violated the Posse Comitatus Act at Waco. That is not a convoluted sorta, kinda, maybe thing. Federal military personnel were being used to enforce domestic policies. And a bunch of people, including civilians died.
