The fact is, there is no proof one way or the other, and in any event it really wouldn't matter, since regardless of the cause, all those with same sex attraction are called to chastity, as are all outside of marriage.

Interesting, but the author is focused only on males. He doesn't attempt to explain lesbians. And welcome to Free Republic.

"""Men have become more feminized, especially the younger ones, and most menwould object to that description because it hits too close to home. The chilling thing is that the Time reporter meant it positively. """"

This is by design, to make all things manly, forbidden. It is also a reason to reject any woman who wants a "feminized" man. IOW there is a generation of beta-men who are nothing but useless drones. They offer nothing to society other than a support mechanism for femnists who remain.

I bet this plays into the professional women who can't find any man willing to marry them.

To understand the causes of homosexuality, a great deal of objectivity and compassion is required.

No. Objectivity required dispassion, not compassion.

You are correct, there is no documented proof that would be accepted by the masses as the truth; however, you will find the truth in the stories of people who have lived it and struggled or are struggling to get to the other side. Individuals such as myself and former U.S. Representative Robert Bauman: I invite you to read a related article with regard to his story: http://www.fhu.com/roys_articles.html and read the article entitled "Homosexuality: Another example of trauma conditioning.

The relevance to the whole thing is, that by promoting the lifestyle as one that must be embraced or suffer from the self-guilt and torment that go with trying to live a double life, the homosexual movement blinds those who would seek an alternative to THIER alternative. They would rather demoralize and sicken the youth in America in order to feel justified in this choice. I never said it was a choice made on a conscious level however, and that it isn't one of the hardest compulsions to admit to and attempt to conquer. Because it is all that. Taken in that context, not promoting the choice as an alternative lifestyle that is healthy in any way, does not mean that anyone needs to judge these people as anyone less deserving of the right to live thier life as long as it does not tread on mine, or yours, or anyone else that does not wish to promote it. By trying to force homosexual marriage on an America that clearly does not agree with it, some homosexuals are only further isolating all those afflicted with this personal hell, and fueling resentment among those of us who also "just want to be left to live our lives the best way we know how". Everyone on both sides of this issues needs to realize that, like America itself, we are ALL in this together, we all just want to be free to be...to explore the course we are compelled to explore as it is laid out in front of us, and without anyone telling us that we can't do that. Let's show our love for each other as children of God, this is not an ALTERNATIVE lifestyle, but the only one that truly works and moves mountains.

>By Roy Masters

"Speaking with the enchanting accent of his British boyhood, and with the crystal clarity and flashing brilliance of the diamonds he polished as a young craftsman, Roy Masters. voice is a daily reminder of sanity and conscience over the airwaves. .... His house became a busy place with the continual traffic of people seeking his help, so he knew it was time to sell his diamond-cutting business and open the Institute of Hypnosis. The seven years that the Institute of Hypnosis was open Roy discovered a mind-boggling fact… everybody coming through his doors were ALREADY HYPNOTIZED! Although many people are convinced that through hypnosis they can rid themselves of bad habits and limiting personality traits, Roy realized that no good could ever come of such a practice. With these tools of understanding, Roy rediscovered the meditation technique that he has taught people for over 50 years, UNHYPONOTIZING them and helping them reclaim control over their own lives. Realizing that he needed to tap into a larger audience, he sold house and car, packed the family up and headed west to California. There he opened the Foundation of Human Understanding . . ."
