In this very important time in the run-up to the election ... can I please have your dog food recommendations?

We just switched over to Exclusive Dog Food two weeks ago. No by products, human grade lamb, beef or chicken.

My new baby four months has skin allergies, can't bear to be touched and has not started gnawing on himself so I wanted to nip it in the bud and he is miserable doesn't like to be loved and snuggled due to itching.

Here is what I found so far as website.

We have to get it at the Feed store not available in regular stores.

We were using Science Diet and the feed store recommended it his Dr. told me what to stay away from and this stuff sounds great.

The size is pea size bites, nice for my 14yrs old who cannot chew very well.

They claim to use fresh meat never frozen.

Here is the one website I found.

Pork chops are nice.

Okay, to cut through the "crap", and get to serious discussion, when one feeds their 80lb man's best friend the likes of pork chops, what is the recommended carpet cleaner, that is safe and leaves a pleasant scent? ; )

Raw meat.

I use raw meat as a dessert item for my Husky. When I give him a milk bone he usually enjoys it without knowing that he has used up on of his 10 pleasures in doing so.....one of my fingers!

Well...Muttly doesn't know about the scent...but if you apply enough ice cream to the spot...dogs tend to clean up after themselves, if you know what I mean.

Maybe that's why they often name us "Spot!"

IMHO...the most pleasant odor IS pork chops, so perhaps the second dose will have a better effect. Worth a try.

(I would be glad to test this theory for you, [THICK pork chops would work best] if you still have doubts. Vanilla ice cream would work nicely too, in my professional dog opinion...)

first post hung up...so i hit the button again. Oops.

Anyway...I think this is a VERY good idea, and bears repeating.

My interest is purely scientific, mind you.

(and if the experiment proves inconclusive...we could always try again with Lamb Chops)

Thanks PM!

You have saved me a lot of time and effort.

I'm going to change my decor to reflect the appeal of "vanilla swirl" carpeting! Yea, that will do it!

Thanks for your input! : )

It is always gratifying to assist in inter-species cooperation.

I am sure that you will enjoy your new motif...especially as it will bring joy and myriad olfactory pleasures to your furry friend....especially over time, and the changing of seasons.

Enjoy !

You sound like the "grandmother" who is appreciative in the knowledge that her work has been done and knowing that the kids are working now, all you have to do is enjoy the best part of the cooperation and leave the mess to the "pups"!

Yes, I do enjoy my status as unofficial "spokes-model" for my fellow canines, it being that I am able to type, so it fell to me to represent us...and...since I have so much time on my paws...not being trusted to go unescorted beyond the confines of the Official Muttly Compound (back yard), since the last mysterious "flowerbed incident."

My boys enjoy big beef knuckle/soup bones (micro or throw on the barbie if I am grilling that day)

They sit out on the lawn and when they get the bones down dry bones (not grease/meat) they get to bring them in the house as toys.
