I suppose the attorneys will recommend they hire a sighted person to walk their dogs. I don't know what the legalities of that are.

LOL! The dogs are 'hired' to walk these people.... walking outside is their job ;~D

I just think the neighbors worrying about this kind of stuff is ~the~ symptom that life is pretty darn easy in this country.

Maybe you don't live in a populated area. I do, and it's a good rule. That's why those "clean-up" businesses sprung up.

The only part that offends me is they advertise on the paper placemats at one of my favorite restaurants.

Dog cleanup rules are good. Not bending those rules for the rare seeing-eye dog is what is completely whacked.

Check this out! Dog poo in the street is a major tragedy, yet the daily killing of unborn babies through abortion isn't horrific and horrendous?

Priorities, priorities!

;~D

This is a fine example of the insanity of zero tolerance.

If there were any people of decency in this neighborhood they would help out. I would help a stranger in this situation. Blind man trying to find dog poop, what's he going to do, pat the entire street to find it when the dog has just passed gas?

You're right, good point.

Sounds like the type of people who would try to cite a mugging victim with loitering and littering if he lays around bleeding too long.

Dang, what would they say about my seeing eye mule LESTER?

There is a website that will send a bag of dog poo
to anyone you want for a fee. I think it's dogpoo.com

Hey, I have a suggestion for these (pardon the pun) Anal Retentive homeowner's association jerks.

How about doing a little community service, and take turns helping the blind owner clean up after his dog, instead of taking him to court?

Decent people help their neighbors.

They'd make him go back and hose that blood off the sidewalk.

I wrote this poem some time ago and I think this is a good place to publish it for the first time:

A Dog's Life

In the Morning
When The dew is on the grass
Out goes Rover
To see what will come to pass

Around the yard he goes
sniffing every bush and tree
Stopping at each and every one
To take a little pee

After three trips around
This hallowed ground
He's still not found the spot
But sluddenly inspiration hits and he
choses the neighbor's lot

And there among the prize roses
Rover squats and poses
Doing what every good dog will do
Which is "Doing Doo Doo in the Dew"
My Yes Dog's do do doo doo in the dew

I think this is frivolous, heck if I used a sighted guide dog instead of being so stubborn and only use my cane like I do a lot, I'd do the same thing and not pick up the crap, it's hard to find that stuff on a lawn to pick up when you're blind, these snooty yuppie jerks should getthe sticks out of their butts and complain about something more important like higher taxes or who's going to pay for Buffy's private school fundings, lol, from one blind man to the rest of the FR community, Im' laughin at this story
