Good intro befor ethe show
I agree however, I still do not believe that even Stolen Honor does it. It covers the wider picture but people need to see details of what is behind the comments of treason. Our laws need to be stated and taken on in conjunction with what these Vets are saying. I view this the same as I do a public education. It is for the average person with a brain. Assumptions cannot be made. Yes, the POW's and likewise the SwiftBoat Vets were robbed again. Congressional Hearings on Kerry are what need to take place but that is very doubtful--even if he is elected--gotta go wash my mouth out now.
There is the Sinclair press release that said they weren't guaranteeing viewers that Stolen Honor wouldn't be shown in it's entirety posted elsewhere on FR. I gather from the posts tonight, Sinclair wasn't caving in to outside forces. I'm just surprised so many seem surprised Stolen Honor wasn't shown in it's entirety. It has been known for nearly a week that Sinclair wasn't going to show the whole thing unedited.
I agree. It needs far better coverage by someone with the intent to discuss the real issues! Sinclair made just another non-event. They are just like any other media ho.
It does not matter that Stolen Honor was not shown in it's entirety. What matters is that the issue is given proper coverage and the questions raised by the POW's are covered. They were not. The POW's were shined on and made to look like their issue had no legs. That is a disgrace.
I agree. If the media is going to focus on the Bush NG records for a whole six months, surely they could find an hour of their time to focus on the POW's and what they have to say. We have yet to hear from Carlton Sherwood, who's 42 minute documentary turned out to have 32 minutes end up on the cutting room floor.
Charlton Sherwood is not a happy camper. He put the film out for free on his site now too.
I don't blame him. He even offered Kerry to come on and offer a rebuttal at the end of his documentary, Kerry refused, and Sinclair hacks up Sherwood's 42 minute documentary into a 10 minute pro-Kerry whitewash. I'm sure this isn't what Sherwood intended to happen.
Did you see Sinclair's braodcast?
I only watched the complete video on line.
I watched the video online as well. From what I gather from those that were able to see the Sinclair stations broadcast tonight, it was a pro-Kerry fluff piece according to those who have seen the Sinclair broadcast. I don't have a local station owned by Sinclair, so watching the video online was my only option, and apparently what I watched was not the same thing broadcast on TV.
That's precisely what I have gathered from the various threads.
Pity Sinclair caved.
They're still gettting blasted.
I think the biggest losers in this "fight for the truth" are the viewers and the producer of this documentary. It is a shame that Sinclair caved to outside pressures. I figure they should have either shown it in it's entirety, or don't show it at all, instead of twisting it into something it's not.
I agree with you.
