BTW, you the guy they put in charge of painting the endzone for that commercial? Cheifs?
To: GoMonster
The old record was so last century! A new century has begun, hence Boston win and Redskin loss.

Exactly. The "officials" incorrectly called a penalty. Wonder if this portends anything for the elections?
"Officials" incorrectly call a penalty?.
Hmm... not that I believe any of this stuff.

doesn't Eddie Yost play 3rd base for the Redskins?
To: Tom602
The United States Supreme Court is presently reviewing the play, expect a decision sometime in 2005.

From the Kerry Spot:
THE REDSKINS INDICATOR [10/31 04:15 PM]
Right now, it looks like the Packers are going to hold on to beat the Redskins. As I'm sure you have heard, when the Redskins win their last game before Election Day, the incumbent wins; when they lose, the incumbent loses. On paper, this game could/would/should be an ominous sign for Bush.
And who knows? Maybe this result gives the Kerry campaign staff an extra spring in their step.
But the problem with these trends - like a lot of the "if the economic growth is higher than X, the incumbent party wins" is that they're true until they aren't. No team had ever come back from three games down in the League Championship Series - until the Red Sox did it.

Just another example of how Kerry and the Democrats will do anything to win. Remember the Refree's name. If Kerry wins the guy will be his first appointment to a Federal Court.

Well, since Renquist has Wisconsin roots, we know he'll rule in favor of the call on the field or do you think he'll be forced to recuse himself?
To: kingu
I know. I know. It's just a game. I'm a Redskins fan as well as a Bush/Cheney fan and I hate to see games THROWN because of bad officiating. This is the third game this year for the Skins that has been lost because of bad calls.
I'm still going to vote for the President though.

So who won? By the time I turned the game on they had switched to the Patriots, Steelers game. I heard that was the one to watch this election year anyway, but since it's on CBS I can't bring myself to watch the whole thing.
To: GoLightly
It's hard to say; such an issue has rarely come before the high court before. Are they overturning a wrong? It's a very difficult situation. I will bet that they decide to split directions on this, ruling that the last touchdown doesn't count, but Washington still loses.

Whether they are looking at overturning a wrong or not does not matter. There are always 3 teams on the field of play during every single game & the only team sure to win every one of them is the team wearing the black & white stripes. The court will uphold that long standing precedence.
To: GoMonster
Way to go Pack! It was also time to end this silly streak.

"Whew."
LOL! In my case it wouldn't matter whether I believed that stuff or not, I've already voted. Too late for me to cede the election on account of superstition.
