Just caught a snippet on CNN with Aaron Brown with a report by Bruce Morton on Second Term Presidents. The Left-Wing media is now starting the drumbeat that since a number of recent second term Presidents starting with Eisenhower and the U2 incident all the way to Clinton and Impeachment that Bush will have some sort of scandal in his second term. That Presidents in second terms always fall far short of their ambitions. The bottom line was that Liberals have nothing to fear from Bush as nothing of any consequence will be accomplished and/or scandal of some kind will bring down and diminish his Presidency. This is what the Hard Left Wingers are putting out and I believe that this is the type of propaganda we will be seeing for the next couple of months.

This President says he has political capital and he's going to spend it. He did it to recapture the Senate in 2002. He doesn't care if the chattering classes like him, he's going to fix Social Security and spread freedom to the Middle East. History will be his judge, not CNN/Gallup.

I think it was Ramesh Ponnuru who pointed out that it's been some time since a President had a second full term with both houses of Congress under his own party's control.

By the way, does anyone have anything bad to say about the 2nd Eisenhower Administration? Or the 2nd Franklin Roosevelt Administration? Or the 2nd Grover Cleveland Administration? Or the 2nd Andrew Jackson Administration? Or the 2nd James Monroe Administration? Or the 2nd James Madison Administration? Or the 2nd Thomas Jefferson Administration? Or the 2nd George Washington Administration?

What a Load? If "stupid is as stupid does" then Clinton was doomed to be immersed in Scandal. But G.W. Bush has a lot more sense about him. These morons in the media will say anything. What kind of people want the President to crap out? Clinton was a screw up, and everybody said so but the media. Our President has done a fine job, and the majority of people know it, but the media keeps up the ridiculous drumbeat.
Well now that they (dems) are talking scandals means that they have accepted getting their asses kicked in the election and they're going right to their handy playbook of slander. It's going to be a long four years for them, even though the next presidential election cycle will be going full tilt 2 1/2 years from now.
PresBush has a specific agenda for his second term and I'll bet he gets a lot of it accomplished in the next two years.
They've already shot their wad on the National Guard non-story.
