Exactly like Mrs.L's family - except on Christmas Day.
It does take forever, but they love it.
Merry Christmas, CB.
That sounds like a wonderful legacy CB....I was just thinking how all those lovely traditions of our nation down through the pass have been each year eroded....our traditional carols are rock and rolled into unfamilar sounds...I hate all white lights for it has no distintion it neutrolizeds the cheerful time of the year!
was that
Many of the young people today have no clue how great was this time of the year...it is so distroted...the fools want us to think you can continue the celibration minus the King of King!
PS
I pray now that GWB has a second term we bomb the hell of those terrorist and pray for the innocent in the cross fire...but that is the price of victory!
Have a Merry Christmas.....May the Legacy linger forever!
I have always wondered why some celebrate and open presents on Christmas Eve and others on Christmas Day. My husband is from German ancestry and me from Irish. He had to be prodded to even consider opening his presents before Christmas morning. LOL
Growing up we got to open one present on Christmas eve but the rest had to wait until morning. I think my parents just got tired of being hounded and decided to give in and let us open one. heh.
Here's a guilty secret. One year when I was about 9 or 10 or so, I snuck out and unwrapped all my presents in the middle of the night and re-wrapped them all for morning. I evidently had to learn first hand about the value of waiting and anticipation. It wasn't worth it of course because opening them in the morning was so anticlimactic but I was sensitive to my family's feelings and pretended to be all excited anyway.
I did it that one time and never again. Ornery little cuss wasn't I? :^P
Prairie
My children did that one Christmas, too, when they were eight and ten years old. I knew it because of their bad rewrapping job. I never let on that I knew till after they had opened them all on Christmas Eve. Then I told them I knew and asked them if it was as good as being surprised.
Next year, no problems. LOL
Mike's home and it "ruins your day"?? FOFL I once heard it said that "A man's presence can leak through 7 closed doors". Isn't that the truth. IF David is at home he is forever in my way or giving me "instructions". Like at breakfast he's wondering if I'm going to be taking anything out for supper? Crickey!! Go count the tinned goods David!!
You guys with your T-shirt weather are makin me mad!! When I left the gym tonight I thought I would freeze just getting to my car. It feels like it could snow tonight. We have only had one major dump so far which has already melted. I guess it's time for another. *groan* Oh well, I guess it gives us those rosy cheeks!
I am curious. What does "crickey" mean?
LOL - you beat me to it!! (go soak your heads)!!
Westy have you noticed how tired President Bush looks lately? Just about all of his photo's show him with those tired eyes!!
Well all you have to do is have swiffer in hand and do the Swiffer Jig!! Of course you knew that didn't ya?
It's a tough job he has you know....
....Westy....
Yes I agree, enjoy your babies because your NEVER going to be without them. Once YOURS leave home they just show up with a new crop!!
WHERE in the mall are you working Val? I guess I'm pretty much out of the loop (no pun intended) as I didn't even know you had a job.
