On the other hand there may have been conversation on the tapes that might have implicated a few people one of which is about to go on trail in Iraq. People tend to forget the scope of the attack. 9/11 wasn't a puppy getting run over. The attack had global consequences. The last thing in a war is letting these wack job websites get a hold of sensitive material and distorting it beyond the truth. This story is crap. There's no reason for the government to hide the 9/11 black boxes, had they been found. It's so unlikely that this one guy found any black boxes that the story strains credulity.

He's a publicity-seeker or a nutjob. The site this is posted on is a tinfoil hat site and nothing printed there should be taken seriously.

Use your reasoning ability and you'll come up with several reasons this man might lie.

I have agree, it would be extremely unlikely that three of four black boxes would be discovered while traversing the site in an all terrain vehicle. I guess they are claiming that the boxes were just lying on top of the rubble in plain sight.

Just for speculation's sake, what motive could there be to pre-emptively deny or cover-up the discovery of the FDR's BEFORE it was known what was on them?

Of course, it was widely known from the outside that the aircraft were hijacked by the Islamofascists because of the numerous personal cell phone calls describing the scenes inside the doomed aircraft.

Who, outside of a specially trained person, would be able to idetify a "black box" in all that rubble? I wouldn't recognize one if it was sitting on my desk. I mean, was it labeled "Black Box"?

The CVR and FDR in aircraft are fairly easy to recognize. They're painted bright orange and are labeled. However, they are not designed to survive a 2,200 degrees fire for more than a few minutes. While it is certain they survived the impact, they were incinerated in the ensuing fire which was hot enough to melt the large steel rod in the center of the WTC.
