Teresa Heinz Kerry failed in her bid to become first lady, but she's not giving up on buying her way into political power.

"The word in Pennsylvania is that Kerry and other family members are pressing her son Chris Heinz to run for a House of Representatives seat," says Washingtonian Magazine. "Chris Heinz is attractive and photogenic, and campaign funding won’t be a problem," the mag notes.

The tart-tongued billionairess who calls opponents "scumbags" also believes that leading conservative Sen. Rick Santorum is beatable in 2006. Mrs. Kerry is expected to pour some of her ketchup cash into the coffers of any challenger who stands a chance against Santorum.

I'm kicking myself for not having thought of this before November 2, but does anyone here notice a resmblence between Mz Heinz-Kerry and Dr. Zira from the first three Planet of The Apes Movies?

Yup, someone here noted it pre Nov 2nd. Didn't get a lot of play though, even though it is a great likeness.

"Chris Heinz is attractive and photogenic"

If that is all it takes, Brittany Spears can be elected.

Hey may get a house seat, but there is no friggin' way anyone even remotely connected to Tuh-Ray-zah, will ever make a dent on the national scene again. She may not have been the biggest reason why Kerry lost, but she was in the running.

And if he was a conservative Republican, he'd be an "uncharacteristically tolerable mama's boy".

A moderate (ie; liberal)Republican: "An independent thinker, capable of taking a principled stand...and good looking with a noble lineage".

A liberal democrat: "attractive and photogenic".

I'm not kidding when I say that what you posted is EXACTLY what I thought when I read the "photogenic" part---I even thought of Britney as an example----

Wasn't it Chris Heinz that was making the remarks about Israel right before the election? I seem to remember him giving a campaign talk and made some comment about the war being wrong because all we are doing is protecting the Jews in Israel---I might be wrong, but I think if he did say that, his career in Washington should never start. Of course, Fritz Hollings says anti-semitic crap like that all the time and he is retiring with "cheers from his peers".

Even if the worst comes to pass and she gets her son reelected... well... for some reason I keep wanting to call her "Lady Agrippinilla"...
